What an unusual-looking arcade game. It almost has an EGA PC adventure-game aesthetic, like if someone tried to turn Monkey Island into an action title.
I've still never never tried this one. The NES version looks pretty terrible versus the arcade and in comparison to the SMS port you covered a bit back. You do have a good contrast between the sprites and the background on the NES which is a plus vs the arcade, but wow is this ugly. The NES port sounds okay music-wise though also maybe not quite as a nice as the SMS, but I prefer the sound effects on the arcade. I'd probably lean towards the arcade version here over the NES.
The NES version is pretty good for most aspects but I do prefer the look of the arcade and SMS way more. I think I'd go arcade>SMS>NES but honestly I could see myself ranking the SMS port even higher than the arcade depending on which day you asked. Overall though the gameplay is pretty solid on all 3.

I'd go with the arcade 😊
I think I would too but the NES game is pretty good too. I think the SMS may actually be my favorite version of the 3.
In my opinion, a rare instance where the NES version looks better than the arcade. And oddly enough, the limited color helps out with that lol
Check out the Master System version! If you could mix the NES music and the SMS graphics...
It's always interesting to see the same game with a way different art style. From a visual perspective I actually probably like the SMS the most.
@@f.k.b.16 You're right, that would be the ultimate port of this game.
