    Nice job cleaning the bed of the truck Ashley! Such a cute name: "Casa de Caca"!" I'm glad the crank out bed liner thing from Harbor Freight did help a little. That pesky T-Rex is actually helping shovel gravel at 6:18! Tiny arms be darned! I'm glad the urinal urine diversion will work for the house septic! The gravel layer is done now so bags next? Thanks for this Longnecker family!

    That's what you get at Harbor Freight. My husband has worked as a licensed contractor and rarely goes there. 30 years ago he invested into a heavy duty, FOUR wheel but smaller dump trailer and a new John Deere tractor for our small farm. He loads the tractor in the trailer, bucket over the front end and backhoe over the back end of the trailer when we do maintenance at some rentals or commercial jobs. He's even used the bucket to tip up walls. He has commercial shop tools but like you invested in Dewalt 20 v tools. For Christmas my presents have been a drill with all the bits, flashlight, and the best - their vacuum.

    Dejavu at the gravel pit. I have gotten so many 1/3 ton loads I unloaded alone (a 71 yr old woman) A friend who use to be in the same position recommended I put a sheet of plywood on the floor of my bed.. And of course then a tarp. Shovel shovel shovel then pull tarp. Maybe that is how you use to do it😃 Very interesting project and your workshop sounds WONDERFUL !!

    We have one of those contraptions. It works ok as long as you don’t put too much weight on it. My brother in law taught us to put a tarp down, fill the truck and my husband added a 3’x8’ sheet of plywood under the tarp once we are at the dump. We can’t back all the way up to the edge (think maybe someone has fallen in 😬) so we use the plywood as an extension and may have to remove some of the load by hand until we can start pulling the tarp. We can usually unload in 5-10 minutes.

  • @patrickrussell1888
    @patrickrussell1888 ปีที่แล้ว

    There will be a lot of friction for heavier loads, like gravel. We used it for landscape debris and it had limited affect until you pulled out a fair's amount of material. Maybe if there is some sort of roller system under the tarp, it might help.

    Solution for the bed liner is you lay ply wood down to make it slide easier, or lay a large canvas tarp first, then the unloader. The canvas might grab on to the bed liner and allow the unloader to slide easily.

    I think that the spray on liner may be an issue. Try taking a square of plastic twice the size of your bed. Fold it in half. Place jthe folded edge near tailgate under device. May be able to reduce friction that way. I have a bed insert and have no issues with amount of gravel. Insert is pretty slick tho. By the way, long time follower, thirtieth time caller. Maybe more. Your channel is entertaining

    If the laws would allow it and it's easier, maybe you guys should consider using the urine diverter to go to the chicken garden and/ or swale, or at least a storage tank. I've heard there is a lot of good nitrogen and other benifits to adding dilute urine to a garden, especially fruit trees. Not to mention you get to reclaim the water as well

    Its seems the county is splitting hairs. Your soil is porous, that it will drain downward almost immediately. I suspect your groundwater level is a couple hundred feet below the surface and rapidly shrinking with the nearby corporate alfalfa fields sucking water out of the ground with powerful pumps. Also if your disposal is in the middle of your acreage, size of your property will dilute the biodegradables! So there would be concentration affecting neighborhood wells (if any).
