I know it objectively makes sense, but it always throws me off when calroy is depicted like a guy, and not just a full slice of cake with legs
I get what people do it but people should just make him the cake
It was dramatic in the campaign even though he was a cake! Is a human dude really just easier to draw? Is that the reason? 😅
@cospaws8810 late response but yes! the physics of drawing a cake with arms and legs interacting with things is actually exceedingly difficult 😭not to mention achieving actual dramatic/heightened emotions. theatre of the mind works fine for the show, but artists have to get a bit more creative :)
funny little thing that was definitely in no way by accident: Calroy uses a bishop to take the king at 0:47 which obviously is a reference to him telling Belizabeth about the illicit marriage

Rewatching Crown of Candy to prepare for Fantasy High S3. I thought their romance was canon? I mean, a daughter of House of Rocks gets a little TOO close to the Pontifex Rex then dies under MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES? I really hoped we'd get a confirmation in Ravening War when she showed up, but for now I guess we'll never know for sure.

But i do remember in the first episode theres a scene where we see Saint Citrina gazing wistfully at a certain Bishop Belizabeth Brassica

Even though she’s not necessarily a villain, I feel like Mother Knows Best suits Caramelinda just as much as Plumbellina, if not more - she seems to be the only member of House Rocks who actually puts in work. 😂
Regardless, this was stunning and the populist facist Ciabatta = Gaston is almost too accurate. 👌🏾

After MONTHS of subtly telling my husband and friend to watch ACoC, they've FINALLY started and I have had to tell them to AVOID ALL animatics because of the spoilers. But once they've seen the relevant episodes, I am playing this animatic for them first!

All of this is just so insanely gorgeous I almost wish there was another villain just so we could see more
I think Keradin could have worked great with the Prince Ali part of the song at the end, but I don't know who'd be singing Friends on the Other Side. The only other real villain was Primogen Alfredi and Stilton Courdeau, but neither really work for that.
I feel like alfredi could have worked for the facilier part as the whole “changing, transforming” bit could have been related to her alchemy. And then have keradin for the jafar bit or have it be both him and grasini as they were both kind of doing the same thing of blindly following orders.

It’s such a shame this had to end there, sadly I can’t think of anyone for facilier maybe alfredi but she was quite a minor character but there wasn’t really anyone else magical and that’s mostly what facilier’s song is about. Would’ve loved to see a karadin song but none really fit him
yeah! i was brainstorming as much as i could but no one really fits facilier and it's shame. had we gotten more of oliver onionpatch or alfredi and their alchemical work/creepy monsters i think they could've been great
@@kindlespark9 You could have swapped it so you had Primogen Alfredi for Poor Unfortunate Souls, and put Sugar Plum Fairy for Friends On The Other Side, with Stilton for Prince Ali. Or Poor Unfortunate Souls could have been Alfredi, given that the Corn Gremlin+ that the church had was from her notes... if I'm remembering that right, and Prince Ali could have been a wrap up with Calroy, fair for him to get 2 parts he was pretty much the main villian.
Could have been more focused on the villains all together during the initial trial, where everything spiraled out of control! Amythars technical infidelity, the children are bastards, lose their titles, lose candia, which is now at war with the rest of them. Preston dies. Karadin splatters chocolate against the window as they have to run for their lives through the city. And they’re singing “are you ready? Your changing alright. I hope you’re satisfied. And if you ain’t don’t blame me. You can blame my friends on the other side” as in the bulb rejects their wild magic ways and this was always meant to happen

Coming back here after watching the full Medley video, and while I think cutting it short was the right choice, I can't help but wonder about who could fit Dr. Facilier and Jafar. For some reason Stilton gives me Jafar vibes, at least for the bit of the song, with the whole "reveal to be tricking the princess, will ruin the romance and kill them", even if the characters are all turned around and don't actually correspond, and for Facilier, I know it's a whole other timeline and campaign, but Archbishop Camille Cauliflower could fit really well, really only because the line "You got what you wanted/But you lost what you had" has SUCH an FDA feel to it

I think, it's a stretch but you could do onionpatch(alfredi in the background) for Facilier. "You're changing" being the big monsters from Buzzybrook. "Friends on the other side" obviously being Alfredi at that point.
I almost want to see Saccharina and Ruby in this. They come so close to being villains to each other it feels wrong not to include them.
