If dodge is gonna survive they need to offer what they’ve always been about cheap speed. Neon srt4 $19k, dodge stealth r/t $26k, scat pack at $38k. They’re smoking crack thinking they’re gonna charge 40k for a hornet or 60k for a charger and move em.

Dodge and Plymouth always gave the working guy the ability to customize their vehicle. Power everything with automatic transmission, or basic no power anything and a standard transmission. They really need to get back to the basics for the working people. And that's what we want.

Unpopular opinion: even bringing V8 back won't make people buy the cars, because Dodge out priced itself from the normal folk that could have afforded a fun car, same with Wrangler, they are going beyond the reach of middle class, and people are deciding to stick with more practical more "quality" cars from other brands, as they all see dodge and Stellantis products as " cheap transportation" and people don't want to pay premium prices for cars they don't see as "premium".
Nissan is in same situation now, it was a brand that was cheap to get into, but now if cheap brands are asking prices similar to more prestigious brands, why should they buy an inferior product. biggest example is all the outgoing models of charger/challenger sitting on lots with V8s , people don't want to buy them at current prices and cant afford them, but if they were priced as they were in 2015-2020, all stock would of been sold by now.

The B-Body cars should be slightly larger with the Charger, Roadrunner, SuperBee nameplates, C-Body cars should be the largest bodied cars with the Polara, Monaco, Fury nameplates in both 2 and 4 doors, and a station wagon for Police and families with performance. Every single last product that you mentioned is a performance/niche/enthusiast product. That’s not enough to keep a company alive. They’ve raised prices on regular consumer vehicles so high that many people have left and gone to the Japanese/Korean manufacturers.
Not to mention, STELLANTIS has shitty consumer service at this point. They strained relations with everyone and now it’s time for them to go.
The charger, EV and Jeep Wagoneer S launch is a disaster. You’re not getting any deliveries this year. You can’t even get a test drive video yet.
They’re probably a lot further behind than they’re letting on.
All of those hopes about them bringing back the V8 and the hellcat engines aren’t going to change the fact that insurance companies are charging a fortune for them and you’ll still be on the “most stolen” list.

7:22 I don't think for one second that Chevy turned the Corvette into a mid-engine to add super-car appeal. They clearly switched because that form factor it is much easier to convert to an EV. The short rear on the Viper and outgoing C7 would not have fit a large enough battery for a performance EV.

They should not bring back anything Hellcat. They need to let that era be what it was… However, they need to start making smaller displacement, turbo V8’s, 6’s, or 4-bangers. If I was the CEO, I’d revive the Viper in a mid engine twin turbo 6.2L (hellcat) configuration, hemi Cuda in a 5.7 twin turbo, Stealth in a V6 twin turbo and the SRT-4 in a four cylinder Twin turbo as the new lineup moving forward. This will dominate the U.S. performance market at all levels and get butt’s back in the seats! Also, they can flex fuel these vehicles allowing owners to choose what ever fuel they want. This brings much needed diversity at all price points while appeasing the “Last Call” and everyday Hellcat owners by keeping their investments relevant. Yes, I have a business degree and yes I’m immediately available for hire @Stellantis @Dodge

Americans dont like small turbo engines, also those smaller turbo engines will cost most which jacks up the price. Bigger n/a displacement sells in american cars. The viper is already mid engine and they should keep that body style, besides the viper is based off the ac cobra so putting the engine behind the driver wouldn’t make sense. The only 4 cylinder turbo car id bring is the neon. Also small turbo engines aren’t ideal for straight line drag racing which is what mopar cars are made for. Too expensive, too complicated ( look at the hurricane 6 ), and damn near impossible to maintain long term. American brands dont survive without large V8. Let the Europeans stick to small turbo cars.

    • @Alan-tr5uj
      @Alan-tr5uj 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

Americans LOVE small turbo engines. The F150 is the best selling vehicle in America, and the engine optioned almost 3 to 1 over Ford’s fabulous V8 option is the 3.5 Ecoboost. Americans have no problem with turbo engines. In the case of the F150, customers pick the engine that makes the most usable power and does “truck” things the best I.e. towing. They’re even paying a premium for the 3.5. The folks with a problem with any engine other than a V8 seem to be the recent (2015-present) “Mopar” enthusiasts. Hell many of us long time Mopar enthusiasts fondly recall the turbo-Mopar era; all those Turbo 2.2 & 2.5 cars that would easily lay waste to the F-Body’s & Mustangs of the era that were everywhere like dog shit in the yard. Chevy 305, lol what a joke that thing was!! 😆

    • @StockCarGuy

@@Alan-tr5ujbest selling cause they keep breaking😂. Why use a reliable engine when you can just get a new one every few years. Ford has millions of recalls on the ecoboost engine Also nobody talks about mopar i6 era. They talk about the gen 2 hellephant 426 hemi, 440 magnum, 426 max wedge, 340, 383, 400etc. Those engines dominated the race track and streets. Nobody asked for a twin turbo i6 charger. If everyone “loves” small turbo engines, then these new dodge cars would be selling but they’re not.

    I would recommend the following.
    Realistic List
-I totally agree with a Cuda (slightly restyled and shortened wheelbase Charger) that could compete with a Mustang. The Cuda must have a V8 engine and a manual transmission option.
-Chargers (2 door & 4 door) with V8 engines and a manual transmission options which would make this car the only true muscle car available
    Wish List
-SRT4 (no Neon nameplate) to compete against the Civic, Civic Si, and Civic Type R
-Dodge Stealth with a hurricane engine and a manual transmission option to compete against the Supra, Nissan Z, BMW 2 Series
-Dodge Viper with all V8 engines and manual transmission options. The styling could be based upon the final Viper model mixed with the Ferrari 599 GTB (front engine & rear wheel drive) for an exotic look. The pricing must still be competitive with the C8 Corvette.
-Chrysler 200 series with manual transmission options to compete against the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C Class, and Audi A4
-Chrysler 300 series to complete against the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes C Class, and Audi A6

Im gonna have to disagree with you on the viper and I'll cite your point about the trx vs the rho. What made these vehicles special wasn't just the chassis or the name plate, but the experience of what happened when you floored the throttle. A viper just isn't a viper without the symphony of all 10 cylinders trying to annihilate whatever may be connected to them. I can get behind the idea of a mid engine viper because you can only turn tires into smoke by adding more horsepower at this point, but getting the styling right is gonna be a real challenge since the other characteristic of the viper was that miles long hood housing the engine.

The first thing they should do is immediately discontinue the Hurricane engine and STLA platform, because both have been failures that will never make back their development costs. Focus on fixing Ram first, since that's the easiest one. Bring back the old engine options, and trim the fat (1500 doesn't need 13 trims). Then do something similar for Jeep. A base Wrangler should cost $25,000 or less. Then use the money from those to revive Dodge. Sell evolved versions of the LX Challenger and Charger (STLA Charger has no future). Bring back the Barracuda and Roadrunner as smaller corner-hugging counterparts to those with turbo hemi options. Finally, make bespoke luxury cars for Chrysler with actual names, like Cordoba and Imperial.

This couldn’t have been done any better Butter. I agree totally and i do own a TRX,Durango Hellcat,Daytona Hellcat. They need to put the redeye in the TRX and name it RAM-R to remind the Raptor-R who’s ur daddy. Like seriously make the 300 a Hellcat and a Hellcat wagoneer to kill that Escalade V is perfect. Yes the TrackHawk needs to come back. I would trade my TRX up to a Redeye TRX and I’m thinking about trading in Durango Hellcat for a newer one like a 24 or 25 before the end of month. This needed a redeye too. If Dodge wants to get this all started is to stick hellcats and redeyes in things and 100% make the CUDA and create the Ghoul once and for all-maybe make that viper you are talking about but name it the Ghoul even tho Ghoul sounds more like a crazy muscle car and make it with a supercharger and turbos. -that would be a GHOUL. Dodge it’s easy to get your pissed off customers back before we commit to something else. It’s like a break up with a chick -once a certain time passes you just feel like you wasted your time in the first place and start to think you never really liked her in first place. So get on it quick-Trump doesn’t care and have him get rid of that new law that kicks in in 2026 that makes our cars spy machines and able to be controlled by govt and 3rd parties. And while we are at it get Trump to get rid of the DEF crap and make a twin turbo diesel in the TRX body style. Or the original TRX concept body style-I’d buy that too for work. C’mon Dodge this is easy now let’s get going-give us what we want and listen to us we know what people want and people are about to get stuck in long car payments and not buy your vehicles if you don’t start a]making announcements-timing is everything and you don’t want ppl stuck in 6yr loans with some other brand plus i need to know for me and my family-friends. Corvette did piss me off with that weak bug looking ZR1-I’d rather have a C7 ZR1 -looks way meaner. it should look mean-get back here and make mean cars. LFG! Hire some huge TH-camrs that build crazy cars and don’t get rid of all superchargers and only have turbos-mix it up. Anyway it’s important to make these cars so we can buy toys for them-that’s what made Dodge cool is all the accessories and easy mods to play with our cars like a video game.

Going with the old engines as they were doesn’t make sense, the competition has catched up, the Raptor R now beats the TRX in all metrics.
But an upgraded HEMI and Pentastar lineups could be enough to keep the money coming fast and cheap. The Pentastar can reach 320-330Hp while returning 1-2 better MPGs just by adding direct injection, the HEMI’s need more work, but getting the 5.7L to 420Hp and the 6.4L to 500Hp while improving their numbers by a couple MPGs too isn’t impossible. The Hellcat V8 doesn’t need more power since it can make over 1000Hp easily, but making it lighter, more reliable and efficient is always a good thing.
They need to improve their base engines since most Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Pacifica, 300, Charger, Durango and Ram 1500 sales have the 3.6L V6 under the hood and some have the 5.7L HEMI, with those two making 95% of the sales.

If jeep wants to survive they need to drop prices by at least 25%, and give us a 5.7 wrangler. Most people don’t need a 392 wrangler and in jeep circles where hemi swaps are popular, the main reason people cite for 392 swaps is just that it’s cooler. A 5.7 wrangler and gladiator would be perfect for the people who want more power than the Pentastar but don’t wanna shell out the extra money for a 392

Great Analysis the problem with Stellantis is you can't fix stupid and it gets worst when you don't listen to your customers and then dealers took advantage of the last year of the Hemi's by overcharging with premiums over the MSRP, forcing EVs which has range and support issues.

These patents are just to protect the IPs. It's not to mean they are going to use them for any vehicle. It could even be a trim for a vehicle.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that regardless of the name it heritage, if it's too expensive then it'll alienate it's revival. At this point, if there is a Chrysler Doodoofart that is sub 20k it'll probably save them and bring customers in.
I'm probably the most forward looking Stellantis person in existence, and i absolutely love the new Charger. I think this is top 5 designs from the company, but the car easily clocks in around 65-70k. That's not the problem, the problem is that they are struggling and their only car is priced for the upper 30% of consumers.

Hi Butter - Arman again. What these manufacturers are not realizing is that there is a huge appetite for muscle/racy American cars but they are simply not capturing the market due to the price points. Even a base V8 Mustang is now $45k and not $35k like it used to be even 5 years ago. Stellantis needs to lower the price of the car and cater to the enthusiasts. Huge money to be made around the $35k to $50k range.

I totally agree, especially with getting All Mopar vehicle prices correctly. Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Chrysler vehicles are way over priced and people don't want to pay these hight prices. I especially agree with resurrecting the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, I personally on a 2020 V6 Trailhawk, it isn't a trackhawk but I love my truck and I was sad to see the Trailhawk model turn into a 4xE with the NA V6 not available for the Gen 5 model. I would love to see the TrailHawk for the Grand Cherokee come back with the Pentastar V6 not the Hurricane for obvious reasons. To be fair and honest, talking or in this case writing about what Stellantis could or should do to save the company, I believe it comes down to if John Elkin is going to obviously give what the people what and and more important, make sure that any or all Mopar products has better quality materials in each vehicle. This this day people are scared of there 60+k truck is going to catch on fire in there drive way or while driving there vehicle is going to lock up on the highway going 66 miles per our, all because the wiring harness are too short. John Elkin needs to mend fences with all previous supplies for Mopar and insure the public that the Days of Carlos Tavares are done and we are looking to better future for the customers. But only time will tell, I'm hopefully but still skeptical give Stellantis track record.
