Glad to see you back! I am anxiously awaiting my Efoil from an Indiegogo project. It is called the XFoil. It was supposed to be fulfilled back in August but they are still fine tuning them and hopefully in the next month or two they will deliver.
I built an efoil around my Axis setup. Its been a wild ride of different fuses, shims, tails, props and wings. It’s such a great test bench to try different gear. It would be so cool if you had a custom foil built around a Cedrus mast. The data in your reviews would go next level.
Love the front shim
I didn’t think this meant you wanted one. Please send me your address. Wakethief@icloud.com
Oooh front shims sound nice!
I'd love to try these out! 🤞
You bet. Please send me your address. You’re the second person. Wakethief@icloud.com
I would really be interested to try them out
Thanks
You’re welcome! The first set are yours, Brad! Please send me your address. Wakethief@icloud.com
Is there a reason why Flite does not make this themselves? Why should they sell a high end efoil that is backfoot heavy? Great solution though 👌
Wow dude, clean alternative to mast plate shims! When are you trying to make those on sabfoil? :D
How do I order the negative shims, I don't have a 3d printer.
Fid you say shim 5? I'd like to see the comparison of shim 0 to yours. Thank you for sharing the files
The zero shim brought board angle to about the half way point between the five shim and our rear shim (plus our front wing shim)
@@WakeThief So sounds like this is functioning like a negative degree shim? Looks more comfortable to be over the mast with a level board
Do you have the final angles that the wing and stab ended up after shimming? I am building my own hydrofoil from scratch and there isn't much information on line.
I wouldn’t use Flite as the benchmark. I’ve generally seen a difference of 3-6 degrees between a negative angle rear wing and a positive angle front wing. I’d go with 4
@@WakeThief Thanks, 4 is what I have designed in at present. I have 3 degrees on the front wing and negative 1 on the rear. I appreciate your reply.
Would those shims work on my pro 3 with cruser jet 1500 wing? if so do i just remove the stock shim and put these in their place. Is there a front and rear shim?
thank you
There’s only a stock shim on the stabilizer. Leave the 0 degree on, and add the rear shim to that. For more details, please check out our shim video.
I finally found someone to print these for me. You said you made the shims for the flyer 800. Will they also work on the cruiser jet 1500 or do you think I need to modify for the jet 1500 wing?
Also when I get ready to order a flyer 800 are you also selling those without buying a full setup?
Thank You,
Gary
Thank You@@WakeThief
Thanks for your support, Gary. If you use our links in the description we can earn a commission. Try the shims and see if you like them more or not. It’s a preference. We found they helped us a lot with the flyer 800.
Hi, i would like to buy those shims...where can i get them?
The 3D files are available for download in the video description. Please send the files to a 3D printing company if you’d like to explore them yourself. Good luck!
Can I get some shims?
We don’t have any left as we’ve sent four sets out. The 3D files are in the video description.
Hi, the link in the description does not work can you share a new link for the 3D file?
Please try the link again. If it doesn’t work, please email. Wakethief@icloud.com and I will send directly.
Thanks for your awesome videos and providing the files to the foil community for free! Excited to get these on my board!
