Xanthorrhoea, or Grass Trees

When out at Waterhouse Reserve to video Waterhouse Island I came across this amazing display of Xanthorrhoea plants. There must have been thousands of "spears" stretching over a vast bush fire area, well worth a visit

We’ve always called them kangaroo tails 😂 looks like the area is coming back ok after the fires went through there.

They used to be all over Australia but now they are only in small pockets - quite sad really .......................
