Make a to do list everyday and try completing it, they will be your short term goals also keep yourself busy the whole day don't let your brain think about your shortcomings, in the next few months you will see a great change. About reading speed then don't worry while revising you will get familiar with the sentences and will able to read and comprehend the words faster and in a month or lil over it you will see your new speed .
