These two concerts from March 2023 were the first time on stage with Lovebites for new bass player Fami, and her first time in front of an audience of this size. My favorite band of all time. Just no one compares to that. You said Miyako never smiles, so I was waiting for the moment Miyako smiled in this one haha. I saw her smile in both the LA and SF shows last week. It happens. She's just so focused a lot of the time. I love this song to pieces. The message, Asami's lyrics, and the "I will always be there, We will always be there" always gets me a little bit, due to how much you can see Asami and the others love what they do, how much they love the fans, and how much we love them. It always gets me a bit. Fantastic performance. Love the fist bump moment too!

I first learned about this when I listened to the supplementary audio on their live Blu-ray, but Miyako was severely nearsighted and could hardly see anything around her. Her expression has softened, perhaps due to the LASIK surgery she underwent the year before last.
A Miyako smile while she concentrates on playing may be rare, but when it happens it lights up the arena. I enjoyed that one as much as your reaction to it! Off stage, she is often the goofy one, smiling and joking with Asami.

When MIDORI approach to MIYAKO and then MIYAKO pointed to someone in the crowd, this someone should be KIKO LOUREIRO the former guitarrist of the power metal band "ANGRA" and "MEGADETH". Midori and Asami seem to have the innate blood of a showman. They seem to have the power to excite the audience with just one facial expression or finger movement. The funny thing about Miyako. She is probably the most active on social media by far and she smiles all the time then. It's sort of a cute, shy but somehow confident smile. Unfortunately, most of the vids are in Japanese so I don't know what she is saying but she seems very engaging and just a very nice person. However, she sometimes talks in English and she speaks it pretty well. Lots of the vids are music related and the way she talks about the music is like everybody can do what she does and it's nothing special. One of my favorites is when she just walks up to a piano in the mall and starts playing. Then is surprised thats she drew a crowd when she finishes. Or maybe the one were she gets her new Dean guitar in the mail and acts like a kid at Christmas unwrapping it.
I concur! Miyako does smile :) It took me 5,5 years to witness it live but I managed to grab a ticket to their show in Milan, Italy earlier this summer! I didn’t care were they play just be on the same continent 😂 I only traveled about 490 miles and there were fans from all over Europe. Spain,Germany,France,Portugal,Poland, Hungary, Uk, Italy of course, Topping that I got to meet them after the show for a few words and a quick photo (had meet and greet option) Easily the best night of 2024.

I was at that gig, the New Cross Inn, and I agree with you. Miyako always seems focused on the job in hand, but off stage she can definitely let her hair down and have fun. I do wonder how much of her stage act is just that, an act to contrast with Midori and Asami, and now Fami, running around the stage.
@@taihavard549 Hi, during the sound check I was over close to the window, but for most of the concert about the middle of the audience, although toward the end I had to move over near the door to find something to lean against due to my back giving me gip (I was probably one of the oldest ones there and I have a back injury 😄). I was wearing a white Tee Shirt with 'Lee, Lifeson and Peart' on it. I did The Garage as well 2 weeks later. I hope when Lovebites come back to London they are able to play a better venue than the New Cross.

Dude watching a video is not the same as being there. You can't see everything that is happening on stage. Miyako smiles more than you think you just don't see it because the camera shots move around a lot.
I have to disagree about Miyako’s personality. She is my absolute musical hero. Watch her channel to get a bit of an insight into her personality. She is an absolute genius walking amongst us….we should be grateful for that!

Yeah Haruna is non stop back there, and she keeps it up for 90 minute to 2 hour concerts. An older song, from the 2nd album ,Clockwork Immortality". Lyrics by Asami, music by Mao. Definitely check out the new stuff. But go back and check out some of the older shows with original bassist Miho too. Just going by what you reacted to, you've only seen her once. Try "Break the Wall" and "Thunder Vengeance" from the Zepp DiverCity 2020 show, and "Set the World On Fire' from the Ride for Vengeance 2021 concert.

They are really better, excellent & epic when playing on stage. Some say they (Asami) are less interaction with audiences. imo, because they have too many good songs to play, limited of time and audiences wanted to see them shred their instruments. That's the satisfaction 🤤🤘. Thanks bro 👍

I have to disagree about Miyako’s personality. She is my absolute musical hero. Watch her channel to get a bit of an insight into her personality. She is an absolute genius walking amongst us….we should be grateful for that!

Definitely check out the new stuff. But go back and check out some of the older shows with original bassist Miho too. Just going by what you reacted to, you've only seen her once. Try "Break the Wall" and "Thunder Vengeance" from the Zepp DiverCity 2020 show, and "Set the World On Fire' from the Ride for Vengeance 2021 concert.

They are really better, excellent & epic when playing on stage. Some say they (Asami) are less interaction with audiences. imo, because they have too many good songs to play, limited of time and audiences wanted to see them shred their instruments. That's the satisfaction 🤤🤘. Thanks bro 👍
