Do you mean "mixed signal oscilloscope?" The advantage of a spectrum analyzer is that it has YIG Tuned filters in high band to reject images. And, in low band it's superheterodyne architecture also protects against images. If you want to dig more into SA basics, you can check out this application note: bit.ly/2EUelGR
Thanks for the feedback! The prompter is new for us, so it's definitely taken some getting used to. But, it let's us get more videos out and helps keep us on track when filming! Ally has a computer engineering degree and is on the team with me (Daniel), Melissa, Erin, Nick, and a few others.
Use a larger font (if possible) and move the prompter further away. That'll reduce noticeable eye movement. That being said, I didn't notice until I saw this comment and specifically looked for it.
Aaaaand this Keysight team has made it to the next level of internet popularity: Gross immature guys showing up in the comments section to say gross immature things. We were wondering what would come first - you guys, or the anti-vax chemtrail crowd.
Is there any advantage to use a mixed signal generator instead of a spectrum analyzer for measuring spurious emissions (or ACP from the last video)?

Thanks. That was a good refresher!
Two incredibly interesting "Ready, Set, Measure" episodes featuring Ally in less than a week? What is this? Christmas?!
You are spoiling us, Keysight.
I like seeing videos from this presenter, even if the topic is unfamiliar or not relevant to my field. Please continue 🙂
Allie rules, we want more videos with Allie :)
with less energy drinks or coffee. 😉
Hi Allie! Thanks for this instructional video!
Thanks for including links to the app notes!
Thats harmonic signal. Its another frequency. before and after from main modulation frequency
I like these videos, but the amount of autocue-reading is really annoying. Also: what's Allie's job at Keysight?

Thanks!
thanks
After I got married I no longer had spurious emissions.
Robert Evans attenuation is a great thing but who wants to be attenuated?
We did manage to get the floor noise down to manageable levels but the bed noise was substantial.
Sounds like a common grounding issue, best to sink another ground rod. You shouldn't have to do this more than once or twice a day.

When oscilloscope videos are going to come? 🤔😑😫😥😔😩🤓
Don't worry, the next video will be about oscilloscope probing!
Keysight Labs Thank you. I don't know how to use a spectrum analyzers that much as oscilloscopes.
Great video, but you guys should look into your teleprompt system. Her pupils are so far a part its distracting.
Is Ally an engineer or a hired spokesmodel?
She's an engineer!
Yes, because we all have a spectrum analyzer just lying around!
I have at least 5😊
😍👍
hi, for better understanding you can please speak a bit slower.
