For some extra xp, you can pick up beast tribe quests and do them before servers go down and turn them in first thing. If you plan on waking up early to log on, you'll get the daily reset too. Thank you for reminding me about grabbing the lvl 80 augmented gear and an extra 1200 tomes for weapons! I had completely forgotten.

@@fetchgames Oh, also! If you're into gathering/crafting make sure you clean out your retainers a bit. Dawntrail will come with new recipes and new mats and you definitely don't want to run out of space and have to do inventory management later. I've been trying to work on this one, but it's hard. What if I need this weird mat from ARR for some reason??? XD

i disagree about NEVER putting the name of the duty in the chat. "the dark inside" and "the dying gasp" are examples; these say nothing about the trials themselves. there are exceptions, like when the name of the duty is the name of the enemy itself, or when it gives away a key plot point - dungeons can definitely be iffy; they are usually kind of spoilery
some FCs and communities in general have a "no spoilers for 3 weeks" rule, and that's true of posting on social media as well. you'll see people suddenly start posting spoilers on twitter and bluesky and whatnot after a few weeks, so if you're not caught up by then, avoid it like the plague.

I agree, the teams done a very good job naming most instances things that are pretty inscrutable without context - to the point that a lot of people don't actually know the name of a duty, just the name of the boss you fight there. There's also dungeons like the first Shadowbringers dungeon where its just the name of a place that you know nothing about until the game introduces it AS a dungeon. Not sure I'd consider that a spoiler, though I've learned I have a higher spoiler tolerance than most.
Meanwhile something like say, the level 57 dungeon, which is a place we'd be surprised to fight through, or the level 89 trial, which even an ARR player would be able to glean who the boss is from that name... best leave those unsaid.
