I know 29 isn’t “old” by any means, but I often see people talk about age as if you’re going to be miserable and decrepit after hitting 25. people will say it’s “childish” to have certain hobbies after a certain point, especially if you want to be taken seriously as an adult with a job or as a parent. I’m so happy to see you continue to dress the way you want regardless of this kind of judgment. it makes me look forward to aging and experiencing life and doing what really makes me happy. your style is so so cool!!
Exactly! Life is already so bleak and hard, just do what you can to have fun. Whenever I feel guilty for playing games or doing other little hobbies instead of being productive, I remind myself that I'm allowed to enjoy the things I worked hard to pay for.

This video made me cry so hard I've always been into Harajuku fashion since about 2010/2012 when i first saw "what Harajuku girls really look like" by refinery29 and "the goth girl who lives with a lolita doll" by truly I've always been obsessed with alternative fashion but was always to scared to go out in public wearing anything alt besides like band t-shirts but now that I'm 18 I've started to wear what i want its not 100% out there goth but I'm taking it in small rounds . you and your video have made me feel so confident and like I'm going in the right direction even if its in small steps I'm going to make it someday and hopefully be able to be the ultimate goth person everrr. thank you so much for making videos for all these years I've been an off and on fan for probably 6 or 7 years and thank you so much for making other people so happy with your content all those years I've been watching your videos and id get so happy when you would upload because it was sorta like i could live my alt fashion through you but now i think I'm finally ready to actually do it for myself(sorry for the massive paragraph (;° ロ°)

When I was in high-school- back in the early 90's, I made it my mission to embarrass my dad with my very over the top fashion, for which made him squirm. I wish I had photos of some of those outfits. Alot of strangers have photos, I was regularly approached by tourists wanting to take a picture with me. I still dress eccentric, also love bright colours, and make alot of my own clothes. But despite being occasionally wordy, I'm really shy and don't have a big online presence. I did just get one of my purse creations in a published book by the Fashion History Museum where I live, the purse is in their permanent collection. So that was pretty cool. Yes, it's important to be you, whatever that you is. Life is meant to be lived
Apart from getting older, often times people also seem to expect mom's to pack up their "childish things" and "grow up." So the fact that you're a mom and still embrace this fashion is so inspiring. I don't have kids so I can only imagine how hard it is being a parent but I would imagine it's better to find joy where you can whether it be through fashion or other hobbies so you can pass that joy onto rearing your children. I have this memory of me and my friends laying down on the parking lot of a school playground we broke into and blasting my chem and ptv. I grew out of my emo phase the following summer and was really reluctant to bc I felt like I might lose a part of myself. I eventually stopped thinking about it so much and remembered why I was alt in the first place: because I could dress however I wanted to. I rarely wear makeup or dress nice outside of cosplay anymore but I don’t think I’ll ever consider my emo phase cringe because it was such a huge part of my journey to self acceptance.

This has been very inspirational as I've been really insecure about my style since I don't have much to fit it, but this has really lifted my spirits. Since 2020 I came across J-fashion for the first time and really enjoyed it, especially fairy kei and yami kawaii and as the years went on I've discovered more subcultures I love like hime gyaru, "jojifuku" (as in the aesthetic on Pinterest cause idk what to call it at this point lolz), and sweet lolita. Since I'm only in highschool I don't have the money to spend on clothes I like so my collection is very small and is mostly stuff I got through places around me but this video made me feel much better about it and I feel much more confident knowing im not the only one who struggled with this and that I still have time to wear these arious j-fashion styles :) Also happy b-day!!! :D

Since 2020 I came across J-fashion for the first time and really enjoyed it, especially fairy kei and yami kawaii and as the years went on I've discovered more subcultures I love like hime gyaru, "jojifuku" (as in the aesthetic on Pinterest cause idk what to call it at this point lolz), and sweet lolita. Since I'm only in highschool I don't have the money to spend on clothes I like so my collection is very small and is mostly stuff I got through places around me but this video made me feel much better about it and I feel much more confident knowing im not the only one who struggled with this and that I still have time to wear these arious j-fashion styles :)
