I was. I’d never do that route again. I’d stop at a hotel in one of the airports and take my time. The taxi cost me £100 (against £11 on the flix bus). That goes a good way to a room for the night!
@@thegadaboutdad1057 I've been looking at BA holidays from Heathrow, ( Using Manchester Shuttle flights) You confirmed my thoughts that I want to fly from Heathrow only as the Gatwick to Heathrow transfer on top of everything else is too much ... Ps why the hell BA don't use Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh airports to name a few is crazzzzyyyyy in 2024
I wondered the same. I’m sure there would be enough custom from Manchester. Like you, I’d only book if I can arrive and connect at the same airport in future. I can recommend thoroughly recommend Barbados if you’re looking for somewhere. (Departs Heathrow) Let me know where you choose. I’m looking at Japan for next year.
I agree with you, the amount of hand luggage people take is ridiculous. Threatening to take someone's hand luggage, and putting it in the hold, whilst other people have 2 or 3 pieces on board, which could mean the difference between catching a connection and missing it, is unacceptable.
I was very tired and grumpy at that point. They just need to be stricter and stop allowing people to take on multiple bags. I was on a flight recently where someone had FIVE carry-on bags.
Nice video. Thanks. Would have been good to see the recline. Was it ok when the passenger in front of you reclined? I always have this paranoia that I might bother the passenger behind…
Thank you for your kind comment. I didn’t show the recline in this vlog because I featured it when I went through the full service, seat and amenities on the way out. Take a look here th-cam.com/video/kVLvGkLtSAg/w-d-xo.html to see the full features (and full recline of) the seat & flight in premium economy. Hope that helps!
Also…this was a night flight so almost everyone reclined. I was on the back row of premium on the way out so had no one to bother in the recline position :-)
@@thegadaboutdad1057 thanks very much for your response. I am now anxious now that despite having paid the extra someone may complain and ruin my trip…
@@thegadaboutdad1057 Thank you. I actually flew Tokyo-London in PE and did not encounter any issues. I did not see my space restricted when the passenger in front reclined his seat so I think it´s a great product. I fully reclined most of the flight and no issues. I am surprised how someone can complain from reclining. - 1- we have all payed for the extra and 2- the recline does not actually bother you (I am 6´2´´).
You looked absolutely Knackered and Stressed !!!

@@thegadaboutdad1057 that is an absolute joke, no wonder people can't fit their own stuff in the overhead lockers with idiots doing stuff like that.
Some people just always have to push it to its limits.
1 pièce of hand luggage and one personal item, so people do have two pieces and I don’t see the problem
@@TinnekeVDEso true, unfortunately people seem to want to take more.

That taxi must have cost quite a bit ONE AND A HALF HOURS!
It was just under £100 (each way). So, yes, it was pricey!
