At least we finally got the flashback to how Yuki became both human and a Precure but she still continued to be overprotected toward Mayu which is why she finally snapped at the end of this episode. I don't blame Mayu since she's getting tired of how Yuki treats her like a prisoner needed to be guarded.

ユキがまゆちゃんを大事に思うのはわかります。でも大事なのはまゆちゃんの意見を聞くのも大事だと思う。ユキはまゆちゃんの話を聞かないでいろはとコムギを遠ざけるべきと言いますが、まゆちゃんの為になりません。せっかく、いろは、悟君、コムギと仲良くしているのに関わるななんて無理だと思う。

Ughhhh this feels too toxic and it's worse that they're trying to disguise it as being OK. Like what part of forcing your loved one to avoid people she calls friends?? I don't think I'll ever like Yuki as a character (even though I absolutely love cats)
Yuki is literally gaslighting Mayu into not even forming relationships with Iroha & gang. It would've been better if Yuki only told Mayu to stay away when battles happen but clearly, Yuki is forcing Mayu to not even be friends with Iroha, Komugi & Satoru. And Mayu? SHE'S A FREAKING DOORMAT & PUSHOVER. SHE'S WEAK AF IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE. She's just letting her own cat run her life & decide her her?
And Iroha is fine with this, saying she "understands"??
