We've seen Israel remove Palestinians from their homes and Israeli people walk in and take the homes claiming their family lived there for generations, which apparently happened to Jews after the Holocaust but 2 wrongs don't make a right. I've heard some refer to it as devine justice. This was before the war against Gaza, but Gaza is just an open air prison. And now that people are calling this war a genocide Israel and it's supporters deny it and think it's disrespectful given what the Holocaust did to Jews and that it's why Israel exists. Remember the Holocaust, so it never happens again. They play right into Hamas's hands by giving in to their hatred and forcing innocents to suffer. There is evidence the attack against Israel was allowed to come, they knew the plan step by step and let it through anyway so they'd have an excuse to execute an entire country.

In international law, nowhere does one find that the occupying force has the “right” to defend itself. Instead, it is explicitly written that an occupied nation has the right to fight by any means necessary for its freedom.
United Nations Resolution 2621 XXV of December 12, 1970 affirms : “the inherent right of colonial peoples to fight by all necessary means against colonial powers which repress their aspiration for freedom and independence”.
