Great idea. Its funny, but we had internal Hackaton last Friday, and the task was as follows: "Design, build, and launch a Business Central application that will streamline the preparation of demo data. The application is to enable the generation of Customers, Items and Item Ledger Entries for sales transactions. The customer and inventory data should be fictitious on the one hand, but at the same time should be "industry-specific." The source of this data is to be the Azure Open AI service.". Bit different aproach but works as well :)
That was an amazing experiment to play with! And it also very useful as I am currently working with a similar challenge. In the past, I've created middleware to import records like this via API (which works), but to make it into an extension directly in BC is such more of an elegant approach. Thank you so much for all of your great videos.
I agree, test data is important and this approach really simplifies it. Thanks for sharing. Couldn't find this project source code on a linked repository.
Thanks Erik though I had forgotten what the lesson was about by the end!
