Yes, he was alone, with only a coach and interpreter.. However, months in, his calls home became increasingly worse, his Mom said years after in a tv interview. Then worse, sad, homesick, down, and a family decision was made, his Dad called the producers and told them he was flying in to surprise him, just wanted to sit in the audience. They were happy as they'd noticed a change in his attitude and so he did, sat in the audience when Dimash performed Opera 2 and the camera kept panning to his Dad. Dimash never noticed him till his Dad's arm pump at his conclusion caught his eye, he bounded off the stage and lifted him off the ground in a bear hug ! All this is seen in the extended video including his burying his face in his Dad's neck in the hallway and a muffled I want to go home. His Dad didn't go home and to this day, one family member is with him on any extended tour or trip. Watching Opera 2, you'd never believe he was anything but perfect. As a matter of fact, he's said if he'd known his Father was in the audience, he'd never have been so cheeky ! Thanks again for your time and effort for us, we enjoy it a lot !

😍😍😍😍 Glad the medicine worked! 👍👍👍 Actually not all of his songs are showstoppers. Some are just deeply emotional or just fun. For example, when he held a concert in Kyiv, he sang a Ukrainian folk song, Marigolds. Very simple. But OMG tears were flowing in the audience including his mother’s. Then the whole hall sang the chorus together… absolutely moving!
Terry Lyn know Dimash was so down when in the singer show so he took him home with him. Terry was 51 then ,Dimash was 23. Dimash call’s Terry Lyn “pupa Lyn” they have been good friends ever since.

I see others have suggested you react to Tengri on the 2018 I Am , singing Heaven, which I love. You could then watch Dimash and Tengri singing a fun duet (different show). It’s upbeat, and has a Mongolian throat singing band with them. Very different.

Это музыкальный конкурс среди китайских профессиональных певцов. Димаша пригласили в качестве эксперимента поучаствовать в этом шоу после его победы в 2015 году на музыкальном конкурсе молодых исполнителей "Славянский базар" в Витебске, Беларусь. В этом конкурсе он был самым молодым участником ( 22 года,) и никому в Китае неизвестным парнем из Казахстана. Но Димаш после первого же выступления со своей песней S.O.S на французском языке завоевал любовь миллионов телезрителей Китая. На протяжении всего конкурса Димаш поражал зрителей своим уникальным голосом, обошёл в профессиональном плане всех китайских звёзд, но по условиям конкурса занял 2-е место. Победителем мог стать только китаец, а Димаш был единственный иностранец, из Казахстана. После этого конкурса Димаш стал известным и любимым не только в Китае, но и за его пределами. На всех своих сольных концертах Димаш поёт много песен на китайском языке и благодарит своих фанатов из Китая, помня, что именно эта страна предоставила ему огромную возможность заявить о себе на весь мир.
После своего участия в конкурсе "I'm Singer" в Китае, Димаш буквально жил там в течение трёх лет, выступая на различных мероприятиях, церемониях, телевидении, получая престижные премии и участвуя в презентациях. По казахском традициям, первенца в семье молодые родители отдают на воспитание старшим. Димаша вырастили бабушка и дедушка по отцовской линии. Именно бабушка стала водить Димаша в 5 лет в музыкальную школу, когда у него обнаружили абсолютный слух и музыкальные способности. Димаш постоянно, на всех своих сольных концертах благодарит своих родителей, в первую очередь бабушку и дедушку за всё, что они для него сделали и ощущает себя самым счастливым человеком, за то, что у него такая замечательная семья. У Димаша есть ещё младшие сестра Раушан и брат Мансур. Сестра учится на врача, отлично разговаривает на английском и на концертах Димаша работает суфлером, набирая текст песен на компьютере. Брат осваивает игру на домбре - национальном казахском музыкальном инструменте. Певческий талант в этой семье достался только Димашу.
У Димаша прошли сольные концерты в Лондоне ( 2018), родном Казахстане ( 2017/2019), Нью-Йорке ( 2019), тур по России, Украине ( 2019/2020), потом грандиозное цифровое шоу во время пандемии. С 2018 года Димаш сотрудничает с известным в России композитором Игорем Крутым, который создаёт для уникального голоса Димаша потрясающие композиции. В 2019 году у композитора был юбилейный тур в честь его 65-летия и они вместе с Димашем выступали в Дубаи, Германии, Нью-Йорке.
Димаш постоянно принимает участие в качестве почётного гостя в таких известных музыкальных конкурсах как "Славянский базар" в Витебске, Беларусь и "Новая волна" в Сочи, Россия. Также получает награды в ежегодных музыкальных премиях в России, таких как "Песня года", "Виктория", "Муз ТВ". В этом году у Димаша прошли сольные концерты в Дубаи, Германии, Чехии, которые были отложены из-за пандемии. 23/09/2022 состоится новый грандиозный концерт Димаша в родном Казахстане, в городе Алмата.
