This is great. So glad she talked about the lines at the end starting with "I want my cake on a silver platter." That verse rips me in 2 every time (in a good way). I'd love to know where she got the line "I want a beautiful boy's despondent laughter."
This song is my absolute favorite on the record (and probably of Halsey’s entire discography) and feels like such a comfort blanket to my constant paralyzing anxiety. Hearing that there’s 30 guitars on it and the way they describe the atmosphere they consciously created is just brilliant.
wow we really need the demo before it got more "clean" (less grunge and clearer instruments) I feel like the music REALLY stands out in the original demo and i'd love to actually hear the 33 guitars and pick out different chord progressions -- edit: the final version is one of my favorites on the album and a great song, it'd just be awesome to hear both versions in full!
The Demo is so pure and raw and beautiful and a masterpiece.

I love this breakdown! I knew this song was so powerful but others seemed to sleep on this song. I love hearing her vocals isolated.
This is my favorite one on the album
It’s my favorite too! :)

I KNEW SHOEGAZE/MBV was an influence. That's why it's my favorite song. ❤️

Are there any other songs on her new album she strips down and talks about like this?
