I think the reason why Yohanna didn't get onto Eurovision 2011 was because 'Sigurjon 's Friends' band leader passed away a few weeks before the Eurovision selection shows and that Iceland wanted to show that they care a lot and sent them through. I am totally gutted...I honestly didn't see this coming. I was really looking forward to seeing her in Germany. The show will have a hollow feel to it, without her. I watched the performance before reading the comments. It was a fantastic vocal, and I was also pleased at how she looked...really stunning ! When I read the first comment, my heart sank. I am absolutely shell-shocked. The only thing that could possibly explain the result, is that the public wanted someone else to have a try..why ??
I had my 12 points ready for Iceland but when it was finally announced that Yohanna wasn't the winner of the Icelandic National Final,I said "OMG!This can't be real!!".Iceland had the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest in their National Final and didn't pick it!The only thing I can be hoping for is just a mistake on the winning song (maybe a cover of another song or something) so that we can enjoy Yohanna's fantastic voice in Dusseldorf! I love this song, Yohanna sings so beautifully! As it won last year's Eurovision 2nd Chance, I will include this in the Eurovision 2nd Chance 2012 DVD, which I am producing and presenting, in South Africa! Really looking forward to reaching the 26 OGAE Rest of the World Fanclubs around the world and showcasing our South African artists as well, singing their versions of Eurovision songs. IF YOHANNA WAS PICKED TO GO TO GERMANY SHE WOULD HAVE WON THE CONTEST. EVERYONE COUNTRY PARTICIPATING IN THE CONTEST LOVED THAT SONG AND NOONE EXPECTED THAT SHE WOULDN'T MAKE IT. THE OTHERS WHO VOTED THE OTHER SONG THINK THAT ICELAND WILL WIN BEXCAUSE PEOPLE FEEL SORRY ABOUT THE SJONNI BRINK'S DEATH. IT WON'T BE LIKE THAT.
Now, after a couple of hours after the TV show, I still can't understand the decision of the Icelandic audience. Yohannas performance was absolutely the best in the competition, "Nótt" is a gorgeous song with chances to the victory - it would become the highlight in Dusseldorf! So I have to ask: Why, Iceland, why did you nominate the wrong song? It's very, very sad....

Have a look at her earlier performance.....fantastic waistline, I think you will agree. Although this song would not have won in Germany, their entry will be lucky to get out of the semi final.
