The shehnai, shahnai, shenai or mangal vadya is a wind instrument, a double reed conical oboe, common in North India, West India and Pakistan, made out of wood, with a metal flare bell at the end. Its sound is thought to create and maintaining a sense of auspiciousness and sanctity and, as a result, is widely used during marriages, processions, and in temples of West India, although it is also played in concerts. The South Indian equivalent of the shehnai is the nadaswaram.

Shaad - My Shehnai is literally 80-100 years old, quite worn and sounds more beautiful than any newly made unit I've yet to hear. Sometimes, there is much to be appreciated about an old instrument that has traveled the long path. Unless damaged beyond repair, consider sticking with the 30 year old aged flute and allowing it to become a 50 year old.
hi jan 14th is Bhogi Festival , throw the Old Instruments in Fire, and Jan15th is Tamil new year buy a new one and keep it till it gets old
