That's actually wrong though. The jewish, greek, assyrian and Egyptian calendars of biblical times are all based on the babylonian calendar which has 29 and 30 day months. We tend to apply everything we read literally to today and many times we are wrong. Today's calendar is not the same one they used.

The "Eye of the Needle" was indeed a narrow gateway into Jerusalem. Since camels were heavily loaded with goods and riders, they would need to be un-loaded in order to pass through. Therefore, the analogy is that a rich man would have to similarly unload his material possessions in order to enter heaven.

The non-irony of Mastering... I was in a similar position as your 2014 but in 2015 and I was using my GI Bill to earn a Masters in Exercise and Nutrition Science from University of Tampa. I went on to Master Masters and earn 3 graduate degrees and become the poster child for their Executive MBA program. Looking forward to refining my mastery!

Dr. Golden, I thoroughly enjoyed this message sir you ministered to me in a special way. I would love to share this with other people however the part regarding the camel going through an eye of a needle should have been explained that it’s not a sewing needle but rather in those days the camel needed to be stripped of it load, made to lay down on it stomach and crawl through a portion of the wall resembling a needles eye. Please do not take this as an insult because I am learning so much from you sir. God bless you, keep and strengthen you.

Super applicable to my exact thoughts this afternoon. I have been on a 3 year journey in entrepreneurship and have been getting kicked in the face almost every single day.
I stopped in my kitchen today and realized something important as I faced yet another obstacle.
Here's what I literally said out loud...
"Wait a minute dude, are you surprised right now? This was to be expected. Why? THE SYSTEM IS NOT DESIGNED TO LIBERATE AND SET ME FREE. The bank, the government, and the politicians; none of them benefit from me being financially independent and wise. That's not the way the system works. People may have abolished slavery but it has just been replaced by a more modern form of it."
Praise Jesus.
I will not be defeated. Over my dead body.
I encourage you in your decision to break free. The system is there to comfort ones who want to be mastered, comforted, and then milked of their product. Comforters like sports, movies, pornography, dead-end employment, dependency politics, victim politics, and other self endurance keep people enslaved. The same system is also there for those that decide to take a chance to become a producer. However, there are no guarantees. The producers that make it do so by way of skills, timing, current external circumstances, and drive. And when they fail, they are willing to reset and try again and again. Some of what you experienced when you failed is part of the journey. You just have to get back up and do it again, but do it in a more clever way.

the "Eye of the Needle' was also a very small, narrow shortcut gate in the wall of Jerusalem, that was really difficult for a fully loaded up camel to be gotten through, going in or out! ,( and His listeners would have been familiar with this example, having seen others or themselves try to do it before!).
The "Paths of Righteousness" are centuries old, well-worn and still existing on the hillsides where the sheep or goats can safely go along the hills, from one pasturage to another, without slipping down the slopes on unstable rocks to lie dead or injured at the bottom of the ravines!

I talk about money and I think about money a lot. But I have philanthropy in my heart and it takes an abundance of wealth and resources. Personally I'm financially comfortable and have enough to take care of myself, my family, and enough to throw at relatives in time of need. But I do not have enough to house battered women, to start nonprofits providing showers for homeless, to employ returning citizens from prison. All those things are on my heart and my resources are currently limited to my own comfort. And that's why I'm here
A good word is charity, a smile is charity, protecting the shame of others is charity...u have alot in u u can give it doesn't have to be necessarily money to the poor...if u uphold their dignity n raise their feeling by words.. (remember words n sword have same letters) then u can lead them n uaself to see the abundance we have around us
I’ve listen to a lot of your videos but this one by far this is my second time listening because when I listened the first time I could take notes but I’ve come back and taken notes this time but what you said at the end I’ve been trying to figure out for about 6 years now just what happened and how do I get it back and do what I’ve been called to do and I didn’t realize I had done the very exact thing you said at the end and it hit me so hard when the words came across your lips into my ears that I felt the Holy Spirit literally move in me and made a shift opening my eyes I just thank you because god really sends his message through you for his people and I’m grateful to have access I’m beyond encouraged and know what I need at this point. I switched on and I am very conscious at what I watch. I found this good value yet he has is one of those teachers, which made this sound very complicated which is doesn't have to be. I am gifted in multiple things yet I have learnt over the years to master one thing by myself and even my business coach wanted to know how I knew what I knew. It takes mastery. I don't know everything but make it easier than difficulty then people give up because its difficult on what they take in. The Bible puts people off too also but I have found in my business it tells you everything that you need to know for business success. 😊👍
