I have seen almost every video out there on the Falklands War. This Part 2 has presented the most detailed discussion of the land warfare "I have ever seen" and included deserved credit to the Argentina troops who fought well under the circumstance. I also don't recall Exocet shore batteries being mentioned in other documentaries to name one of many new facts learned. Outstanding work! - It is my belief that the Falklands are and should remain British and its people deserve to be left free to live their lives in peace. Let's pray that another foolish war of conquest doesn't happens again, as the troops are the ones who suffer and die the blunders of unwise politician.

This is another example of superlative research combined with an enviable capacity for narration. I am most impressed with your evenhanded depiction of both the Brits and Argentinians, illustrating the courage and valor of both sides....something far too rare in histories of the Falklands. Thank you sir for your outstanding work here. You have substantially enriched my understanding of this complex war...
First of all, thank you for the upload! Second, I've noticed that The Ultimate Guide to Nuclear Weapons was gone from the channel. Is there a chance it's going to be back? It is hands down one of the best documentaries on the history of nuclear weapons. Third, is there a Patreon or something we can donate to? I'd be glad to contribute to the channel.

@mattblom3990 The fact that the conflict wasn't tainted by civilian deaths(only 3)and atrocities adds to the positive character of the war(so to speak)in my opinion.
Really good work, by far the best treatment I've seen of the Falklands War. I'd read a lot of material about the war, but this doc still completely changed some of my views. Pretty amazing how the whole air and sea part of the conflict really came down to a few weapons systems -- two nuclear attack subs, along with Aim9L missiles for the Brits, against the Super Entendard / Exocet combination and Sky Hawk low level bombing for the Argentines. Had the Argentines had more air launched Exocets, and proper fuses for their low level bombs, or had the Brits had fewer Aim9Ls, the outcome could have been entirely different. A truly near run thing. The ground campaign seems much more about traditional skills, where the British elite troops were just better. Thanks for the excellent production.
I was totally ignorant of how ferocious the fighting was in the Falklands War. The insane bravery of the pilots, the steadfastness of the navy, and the brutal hand-to-hand combat by both sides. This two part series is a must see for anyone wanting to know the whole story of the Falklands War. Masterpiece history telling.
Absolutely superb in every aspect. This should be picked up by a publisher and more photographs added, with some animations and more quotes perhaps. Nothing else should be changed, nothing. That would make one hell of a documentary to watch. Superb.
This is fantastic, absolutely superbly done. If you want the detail that 2x 4 hours can offer - nothing on TV could ever come close to this. 8 hours - all content, no filler, no recapping, superbly made and narrated. Thank you.

As a participant in the Falklands war, I do agree with many of the comments that this is a good depiction of the war as i remember it and better than most unqualified documentaries that reply more on sensation than fact, so well done. Outstanding work! Incredible level of detail you gave on each phase of the battle, I had no idea there were so m any separate battles to the conflict. I joined the RAAF in Jan'82, this kicked off shortly after. I remember the sinking of the Belgrano, the loss of the Atlantic Conveyor and the fires that routed the RN aluminium ships bombed in harbour. Although it was a relatively small war, some pretty amazing feats were achieved, and appears there was a lot of luck on the British side at times. The loss of the Chinooks on the Conveyor was a massive logistic loss for the foot soldiers. The logistics to carry out the Black Buck raids to put one bomb on the Stanley runway were nothing short of unbelievable. I didn't know they had a Vulcan rip off the refuelling nozzle and have to divert to Brazil. Thanks again for your wonderful research and storytelling, keep the great work coming mate!
Brilliant work. I particularly liked the final part. As an Englishman, I had always believed the Argentine conscripts suffered from poor morale during the war and that’s the main reason why Argentina lost. I wasn’t aware this was a myth.
No. They suffered from harsh treatment, however moral was relatively fine until the fall back towards Stanley. However when the war ended one of the reasons officers were permitted side arms was for personal defence

I never fully appreciated just how valiantly the Argentinian military forces, some of them conscripts, actually acquitted themselves. This war, brief though it was, was a far more close-run affair than I had been led to believe previously.
Yes, sure... the "brave" Argentine recruits fighting against sheep and soldiers in jeeps, what a way to laugh, every time someone insinuates that the Argentines were brave I personally take it upon myself to inform them that the Argentine landing on April 2 was by surprise and without prior declaration of war... every time someone insinuates a supposed Argentine "bravery" I refer them to seeing the audiovisual record of the Argentine Chinook flying at low altitude over the houses to cause fear in the civilian population before and during the taking of the governor's house, the example of the photos of the Argentine LVTP-7 amphibious armored vehicles trying to block the way of people with shopping bags is also valid... I will only say one thing, if I had a aircraft carriers, with their respective Chinooks helicopters and LVTP-7 amphibious armored vehicles, so even I without having military experience would be "brave", but that supposed bravery would disappear the instant the owners of the invaded lands with weapons similar to mine came to present me battle... 😂😂
Looking back, after Conqueror torpedoed Belgrano (ex USS Phoenix) and the US (Haig) back-channeled intel to the Admiralty the strategic impetus was always north beats south.
I have been waiting for part 2 . Your channel is amazing. Such a lot of research and writing going into the videos. It is greatly appreciated. Thank you ❤

This shocked me,It was close.
