S sir to keep the pipe line oil always in pumping temperature.. So that transfer pump don't get overloaded...

To keep the oil under temperature which needed to transfer and also to avoid getting fuel oil cold and get stuck in the line.

sir also this steam pipe I have seen on fresh water line on deck for emergency eye wash and shower. we have to start heating the all lines on deck prior we go cold area.otherwise lines get freeze then cracked.
