I really loved most of the songs, i'm glad that they decided to keep cerceaux and made a new version! And the Alegria/Valsapena mashup literally made me cry!

Kalandéro is my favorite song in both versions, Cerceaux now sounds more dark and deep but I still love it ♥
But the Valsapena/Alegria mix it's amazing, it has a nostalgic feeling. Thanks for making this video!
Saw the show the other night was totally blown away !! Some people say Cirque is going the wrong direction but I have to say this in some ways felt like it was going back to the classic beginnings!! Some of the characters in the show reminded me of “cirque reinvente “ !! And the new mix of valsapena for high bar is just magic ❤️
glad Malioumba seems to have been left relatively in tact it sounds beautiful
I need to confess that the first time I heard of the new Alegría I kind of did not like but now seeing the photos and songs of the show I have to confess that I'm loving him lol
The new version of Valsapena used in High Bar act is one of the most beautiful songs from Cirque Du Soleil ever
So far I really enjoy the new versions. I like that they're a bit "darker" in tone. It fits with this version of the show. There are a couple that I don't care for though, specifically when they mash up a couple different songs.

Ok, Valsapana/Alegria is awesome!! I also dig the new versions of Kalandero and Cerceaux! The new Vai Vedrai is growing on me the more I listen to it. Not sure I like the new Querer though. The new Ibis is by far the biggest letdown. The original Ibis was such a strong and powerful song. I find it interesting that some songs were barely touched and others they completely took in a different direction.
Maybe you don’t like because is in Spanish! The lyrics are beautiful. Live, was the best thing I’ve ever heard 😍 Irene’s voice is crystal clear
I saw it yesterday. Best Cirque du soleil I’ve seen so far. I prefer the new vocals and searching for the songs. It was the most beautiful thing I’ve seen and heard in ages.
Great comparison Propel. I specially love the new versions of Kalandero and Irna. But, what happened with another bunch of songs like Le Feu, Sisyphe, Nocturne, Force4/Balafon, Icare? Also, I like how the Rinalto Vera sounds so close to the original. In the other hand, I don't like how they used Alegría for Straps and Aerial High Bar and Finale, and Valsapena for Power Track and Aerial High Bar, instead of use another songs. Finally, it seems like them want keep the show with just a few number of acts, and not like the previous shows like Luzia or Volta.

I saw it 2 nights in a row and I thought it was great. But only because knew it wouldn’t be the same as the original. I saw the original 3 times and loved it I still think the original is amazing but I went in thinking it wasn’t going to be the same. Look at it as a completely different show just with the same concept and also btw not changing the show would completely go against the whole concept of the original so stop ya whining and just enjoy it like I did

A lot of their shows sound the same these days. I miss when every show was very distinct in its sound. It's what really set Cirque apart from other productions
I love the new songs in cirque du soleil alegria they now have a trapeze act
I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I really like this. Though they forgot the new version of Valsapena that’s in the Fast Track act. It’s different from the one in the Aerial High Bar.
The illustrations tho are on a different level
I like a lot of the new versions but I really don't like what they did to Ibis. Just a bland remix that waters down the powerful vocals of the original.
About the music, there are some songs that I personally consider that are well solved (kalendero, Mirko, Malioumba or Querer), but there are others that had made a hughe step back (Cerceaux, Ibis or Taruka). Apart from that, I consider that the Mashup sounds odd and that song makes the High Bar act lose some power, magnificience and epic.
Talking about the artistic, (based on the videos posted) I think they made and step back... call me nostalgic, but I really miss Dragone's touch in the shows, maybe only Finzi Pasca can provide that magic....
Remember, all of this opinions are based in bad quality posted videos, so willing to see the show live when it comes to Europe and to listen to the new album.

Prolly because it doesn't have the ethereal majestic feel that the original had. The newer version just sounds more up beat and funky. Which I'm sure is because of the change in order to fit with the new act. It's alright on it's own but as a remake/re imagining it just can't hold a candle to the grandeur that was the original.
@@fluffysheep8999 I would not call the new Taruka upbeat and funky at all, what with that deep cello melody line and all. It seems more seductive to me, a bit harsher. The old Taruka makes me think of gentle, beautiful glass figures, which fits perfectly with the aesthetic of the original Alegria. The new taruka, makes me think of heavy, flowing velvet curtains and fabric. They both fit their desired aesthetics perfectly, and the new one definitely fits more in line with the rhythm of a handbalancing act, as opposed to contortion.

i went to see the show on the 18th and there was no hand balancing!
its an act in rotation. I also saw it the 18th but also the 19th and they took out Adagio and put in handbalancing. those acts will rotate every show.

Does anyone know if Icare is in the new show? It wasn't on the soundtrack. For that matter is the famous high bar act (swinging catchers below the bars that jumpers swing from) in the new show?
The act is still in the show. The song is different, and in my opinion, it sucks.

I like 50% of the new songs they are good, wish their was more singing though, also why are the new songs so quiet.
Now having seen the show and recordings of the songs is definitely the marketing recordings that are quiet, Bunch of songs are good, some but oddly modernized, others restyled to fit the new them and direction. Show is not bad at all, few cirque tent shows are tbh, it just doesnt have that magic that made original Alegria special. I do now think that first Alegria was lightning in a bottle.
Seems CdS is stepping away from Avant Garde styles and going straight for Mainstream mass popularity
