Love the dining reviews so much. Your opinions are the only ones I trust because you actually KNOW your food. What to expect, honest reviews and great pallette. Thank you so much. Side note, always cracks me up to see Caleb "steal" your onions when you cook at home. Too funny.
First. Perfect reservation for last night/post tour. Second. Great seat! Third. Immediately noticed line for wine… not filled to star! Fourth. I had lobster there and they spiced the heck out of it? I’m from Maine. Sent it back. Lobster should NEVER have anything more than warm butter/salt on it, anything else covers up the delicate flavor.
Steve is soooo awesome . . he put a huge smile on my face when he changed the time of the flight out . . such a nice surprise . . He is a guy with a heart of gold . . always thinking about Mike and Caleb :)
I totally agree about the afternoon storms. When we were there In June, our flight that was totake off at 615 pm, got canceled due to weather. We had to spend another night at left at 700 am back to Phoenix. So, our next trip we are spending an extra day, and taking an early flight back home. Enjoy your vlogs.
When we dined there in September, our server told us the special 50th pri-fixe was a “cover” of sorts due to the many patrons who would come and only order a pizza and watch the fire works. So this is to deter that.
California Grill is one of my favorites but we haven’t been in a very long time. That kids meal is enough for an adult. What an awesome value for them. The views cannot be beat! -S
California Grill is our ultimate favorite restaurant at Disney. I also LOVE the wontons as well ! I agree last time I went there they were a little spicy but still delicious. I also recommend the new refurbished Citricos. It’s in my top three now ! Hope to maybe see a review there soon from you all 😊
Love your vlogs, love when the notification comes up for your videos. Don't love seeing Steve using his mobile phone whilst driving. 🙄 sorry, but it is so dangerous, its Illegal here in the UK. Still love you all xxx
Absolutely, positively yeesssss about the MK crowds now at fireworks. We were there the second week of this month and also in shock by the crowds. Your comments on were spot-on!
another excellent vlog!!! oh my gosh too funny, and that view amazing just what i needed to see on a rainy day on the east coast. Caleb is such a little gentleman thank you as always for such a fun vlog wish I was there lol
I love how you elevate Caleb’s palate. I wish my parents had done this because I’ll spend the rest of my life eating meat and potatoes no sauce thanks.
Caleb always amazes me,he`s so good through several courses, you guys are doing such a good job as parents. I wanted to grab Steve`s pizza off my screen..... duck, fig, goat cheese...heaven! Love from a very rainy, windy, Vancouver Island!
I love when you guys do food/drink reviews… your faces say more than your words do. Mike, you have to make Steve a proper soufflé while he has off, then maybe he will watch Caleb…. Win win
Enjoyed this, some Disney MAgic for my Tuesday evening. Agree about steaks at California Grill, good but not my favorite. However the location and view are fabulous.
I wasn’t too thrilled about the prix fixe but this looks and sounds delicious! Caleb is adorable, as always. I have a tendency to pick the wrong line as well… I share your pain. How do people not use their time in line to prepare? And why is the AP line almost always an issue? You’re an AP, you know how this works! How did you forget what finger you used? 🙄😂
That was a sorry looking soufflé but the rest of the meal looked fabulous! Your son is becoming such a little gourmet eater! Thanks for sharing. Safe travels home.
We have ALWAYS found those last min./day of reservations have ended up being our best dining experiences and even have gotten to try some places we wouldn’t have if we reserved before hand. We usually leave a day free of reservations to see where the Disney dining app. paths take us
We love California Grill…always a must dining experience on any WDW trip. And just a reminder to please be wise and do not text/check apps while driving or so it looked like Steve was doing on your way to dinner or maybe he’s using GPS. Either way, be safe!
Love the Dads!!! Always great reviews. I definitely agree about steaks at CG, they are subpar. Yes, the wine pours are no longer generous and when we celebrated my granddaughter’s 13th birthday in July the sushi appetizer is also smaller, boo 😒 But agree that the view and atmosphere is the star here. 👏
First of all, great job with teaching Caleb to wait for those to “exit” the elevator before trying to board. Thank you! 🙂 This is a major issue on our cruises. Also, we had to laugh at Steve at the gates of the MK. Last week at DL I thought “out loud” as to why can’t people have their tickets up and ready to go at the gate. So annoying. For a $300-$400.00 meal at the California Grill I would expect a little better presentation. Michael, nice wine pairings. Especially the appetizer. We enjoyed our meal at CG back in May but found Topolino’s Terrace to better all the way around. Really enjoying your video series on this trip. Thanks for sharing.
From my experience with wine pairings and wine dinners is often we don’t give a full pour. The reason is it can end up being a lot of wine by the end of the meal, so get a taste rather than the regular portion. The price you quoted would also align with that lesser amount for those wines. So it is quite likely they weren’t being stingy, but we’re told to give slightly under the pour line. Now it was a more limited prefix, but that’s my guess.
Just went to Cali Grill last week and LOVED the meal / wine pairing! Woohoo for Nickel Nickel / Silver Oak! Also - we ordered the steak and did not care for it.. Seemed like there was a cumin type seasoning which I wasn't a fan of

Your new producer knows what the public wants...
And that's a better view of fireworks without shoulder to shoulder.

LOVE “THE OTHER TWO”
Tell Steve it's spicy after he puts it in his mouth. Love it. Caleb=adorable!!
That one's totally on you,Steve. 😆 You did ask him to correct you.
Steve is soooo awesome . . he put a huge smile on my face when he changed the time of the flight out . . such a nice surprise . . He is a guy with a heart of gold . . always thinking about Mike and Caleb :)
Starting your little vlogger young. He's so adorable and very well behaved for being in a "grown-up " restaurant.

Makes sense for the 50th crowds
California Grill is one of my favorites but we haven’t been in a very long time. That kids meal is enough for an adult. What an awesome value for them. The views cannot be beat! -S
This is the most adorable family I've ever seen. So glad I found y'all!!!!

Caleb makes me laugh. Glad you all had a great time. CG is our favorite.

I agree about "The Other Two' - Streeter can also be seen in an older show called PARTY DOWN. Highly recommend.
Another great video guys, but Steve, put the phone down while driving!! Remember you have precious cargo in the back seat and the passenger seat.

Enjoyed watching your vlog
Too sweet

Oh my gosh that deflated soufflé! You guys need to come to New Orleans! The French restaurants serve great soufflés here.
I love how you elevate Caleb’s palate. I wish my parents had done this because I’ll spend the rest of my life eating meat and potatoes no sauce thanks.
My clone!
Three short rib wontons? I would be devastated. It used to be four!!
Stay safe when you're here in FL, hope despite any setbacks you had amazing nights and a great trip home. Wonderful vid as alway! Best Wishes.

Love your videos. Thanks for sharing your trips. I’m Canadian and haven’t been since 2019, we are ready for April 2022. 😊

Great vlog! I love all of them!
We’re so excited for this, we have it booked for our trip in a few weeks. The food looked incredible and the wine pairing has won us over!
YAH LOVE WHEN I GET YOUR NOTIFICATIONS!!!!!
Silver Oak. That’s the comment.

Ikr it is a pet peve of mine. Someone didn't let me out of an elevator first today 🙄

A wine pairing typically calls for a 3 oz pour instead of the typical 5 oz pour

In my head I’m like Steve and Mike, in reality, I’m reviewing my Taco Bell paired with a vodka soda
I think Disneyland should go to the magic band system. It seems effective
Dad's I found a little man shirt.... order it
You can count on California Grill to be hit and miss....
We all felt Mike's "yikes" when the souffle came out deflated and sad.
Celeb most awesome kid on the planet ❤️ does his biological mother ever see him or is it a wrap with that
50th anniversary?? Damn, you guys don’t look old enough to have been together 50 years! What’s your secret? 😜
How long does it take to get through the meal given all the courses?
I'm sorry no fireworks
ARE YALL allowed to tell the servers to change out the wine pairings?? like yall missed the point on this one.. fix???
Wine Paring?
Did you ask for a consideration for the sub-par dessert? I would not accept it ....they need to do better, especially considering the cost.
for 39$ frunking fill it to my mark.., its on disney not you waiter.. geezus... better tip when you make someone satisfied
