Not really at all. Delline Bass the singer on the original 2004 track is not the singer on this version. There's also no parts sampled from it either so technically it has nothing to do with the original track except it's based on the Reflekt song and it has the same lyrical content. The original also sampled 'Ghosts' by Thomas Newman but that also doesn't appear in this version, here it is just replayed.
Also this happens a lot in the genre, some random producer(s) want to make their own version (hell knows why as in this case particularly you cannot beat the original or remixes of the original like the Thrillseekers/Adam K & Soha mixes) and the original label won't agree so they end up creating pointless boring unimaginative versions. I loved Cosmic Gate at the start of their career but the last I liked of theirs was Barra (2010) I think and even then it was nothing compared to the things they put out around 2000-2004.

Sorry I love CG from the old days but this was probably made with $$$ in mind. The official remix by Adam K & Soha of the original by Reflekt featuring Delline Bass on Positiva was in my opinion made with love and passion, oddly that version would make a lot more money for the artists and rights holders since it was much better clearly! This version won't sell or make even 10% of what the original did.
