The wording on the title can be a bit confusing, but I really attest to that. Almost lost 2 TTI within the span of 1 year (first time it got stolen, the second time I got lucky and find it back at the hike trail the next day). Losing that 200-something shit really hit a nerve each time. So I went back a bought a daicamping for less than 35$ to carry outdoor, TTI stay inside EDC pouch for indoor work. Just lost the dai the other day and I simply ordered another one, no sweat, so it's much better to carry even though quality is not that far behind
Just pingged the Dakoyu maker (same factory it seem, daicamping is simply another distributor name), and they tell me to get the dk20 for similar functionality. Stupidest design decisions ever to remove pocket clip for something this size just to show some titanium
LoL. I meant it's an oxymoron because even though Leatherman beats the quality game, it still loses so much by the price point it's a loss. Like in the Civil War every time Robert E. Lee won a battle it was still a loss because the South was running out of men and resources. Some said the South couldn't afford even to win. That's the territory where I see Leatherman heading Into.
@Jaz_ZILLA. I sympathize with your dilemma. The SOG is awesome but you have to look at what are you getting versus what your not in the multi tool plus what can you do with it,like switch out tools and accessories wether original manufacturer or others. These are the case scenarios you need to consider. All the best to you.
So an annoying thing about the Diacamping bit drivers, having carried and used several, is if using the plies and say use the tool to tap something in place or drop the tool the bit falls out, on 3 different tools I have gone to use the bit driver only to find it's missing! I never had this problem with a Leatherman tool.
You must not own a skeletool. The “bit storage” bit falls out immediately. Unforgivable for a $90 tool. My skeletool is gathering dust somewhere just because of that. Overpriced garbage since bits are rarely available (I had a t6-t8 bit there).
I've had the dl7 for about a week £38 very cheap saw is brilliant scissors ditto i use multis for going out hunting the pliers will go through barbed wire not many will my fingers are now arthritic so they are very good eventually they will sprain but i have ruined 3 surges you mention leathermans reputation for me it is not a very good one the dl7 is a tremendous win
@@xlilnetx by using them hard i have a spirit x that i would not do the same with that would go the same way but for £38 for a dl7 I will likely get 12 months and that will do if a multi tool can go through barbed wire they are pretty good
this bit driver in daicapming multitools is nice but there is no option to buy spare one or additional (at least on aliexpress with shipping to eu).. Magnet mod is some way to use different (standard 1/4) bits but not ideal.
So what I meant was that even though Leatherman really beats the DL7 in quality and engineering and attention to detail, because the price is so high, $150 more it really still loses. It's not really $150 better.
The DL7 for a beater multitool. If it gets lost or stolen it's only $40. Leatherman tti for lifetime use around the house and beyond, if $200 doesn't scare you!
As far as asthetics, I like the look of the DL7 more than the L. Charge. I prefer the slicker look without all that "branding" and rough texture of the L. Charge. I know that's just a personal thing. But it's hard to pay so much more for a Leatherman than these nice clones. So hard in fact, I won't do it. I'll go with the clones.

@@moophat Exactly, that's a great example! Yes the TTI is amazing but the DL7 such a great budget option!
Just picked up the SQT Ti. Hard to beat for the price. Works great. The only change I would make is to see if the file could be longer.
It is now one of my favorite tools. In one of my latest videos, I added Leatherman charge scales!
How do you sharpen multitool knives and scissors?
This size tool really need a pocket clip, when they figure out a deep carry clip Ill get one in a heartbeat

Do these multitools with 1/4 bit drivers typically accept power drill bits?
They do but I think you have to put a magnet or use a ball detent adapter with a magnet or a ring to hold any bits
I think you mean beater not beats in title hehe
Or you just made a 500iq move for free comments lols.

I can’t decide if I want to pick up the SOG Power Access for $36 on Ali Express or the SQT 2048 on Amazon for $39. What do you all think?

Insert a small magnet into the driver holder.

In the US we have klein, husky and more double sided detent bits but they may be scarce elsewhere it sounds like unfortunately.
I got a DL 30 and a wave+, so another DL7 is kinda rebundant...
Would it be possible or even reasonable to put a T-shank adapter from dl30 onto the dl7?
Not sure. The tools will need shortened even if it did work because the DL7 has a shorter handle.
Do the DL7 wire cutters fint i to the Arc?
No. They are a bit different.
The question itself is cool.
