Dang I sure wish companies would make doll kitchens that nice everything is just pink with the barbie logo, I don't have anything against that there is just a lack of details and more realistic colors
I am a ten year old doll collected and I am redoing my dollhouse I literally just glued paper that is white to the background so that not everything is pink and then I went to hobby lobby to get a bunch of realistic stuff I also went to Michael's I used a pencil box and white cloth with some pillows and soft stuffy keychains for the bed And I also suggest when you go thrifting to get a bunch of furniture there and just clean it off also watch my froggy stuff if you want some more easy ideas That's what I did
In the 70's barbie had nothing pink lol! I have the dining room of my childhood which is baby blue with blue glass doors and table and the living room in bright green. The only pink thing of that period was the bedroom.
This color scheme is a huge improvement. Looks great. I plan to open up and paint mine in the future.

Cute! I have the same kitchen, here in my country (Brazil) they only sell it in the boring pink/white color (I really hate pink doll furniture lol). I'm planning to paint mine red and silver.
that sounds like a great idea, it's fun customizing those boring loud colors to fit our personal tastes! Hope it turns out well.

That is what I wonder, it doesnt seem to be easy witout breaking them.
cabinet doors usually just pop right out with slight pressure. It's all plastic, they won't break, unless forced. Test out a few parts that you don't mind risking breakage on, but I don't think you have to worry about that. I was able to pop everything out just fine. Then when all the pieces dried, I just popped it all back in place. I took pics before doing so, in case i forgot where things went when it was time to reattach. Ignore my super late reply, I have tons of comments to sift thru, which I missed while on hiatus from youtube. Thanks for your thoughtful question.
As much as I hate gold, I really like the end result. The kitchen looks so realistic now! It's better stocked than my own :'D I also like the doll with the tie-dye top.
+ThexBlackxKitty thanx sweetie! I made some adjustments to the kitchen set after filming, which I posted on instagram. The great things about this is that the process can be repeated multiple times for a fresh change whenever I want.
I have the same kitchen, and I also repainted it. :D I don't mind pink, but it doesn't look right on furniture, darn it! My stuff didn't come apart though, so I had to use masking tape. Some parts got a little of the spray paint on them, but hopefully no one notices. :D Your final kitchen looks great!

Man, I'd even take those wacky 70's era earth tone appliances over bubblegum pink all the time! A much better job, much better color palette I say. And, how nice to get some new doll food and dishes too.
The beep is for when you put the timer on ., You know like in real life when you times, something on the oven or the stove any beeps when it’s done.

I wonder how you took the door from the cabinets without braking them. I wanna do it but Im affraid to brake it down.
It won't break. Just be gentle. It pops right out. These pieces are made to easily disassemble and reassemble. Just take pix before removing things so u can remember where it needs to go back.

GYPSIE I did the same thing lol mine was red n white n I used the brown n gold combo.
I could not get the clear plastic pane of the cupboards so I sprayed them. There is no white on mine, it looks like u got a nice set where most of the fussy pieces detach Great job :)

I've seen someone putting tape on the "glass" and mirror sections to protect it from the paint, it was a vintage dressing table, and it worked.

Oh my! The spray paint i used was just something I found in the hardware section at walmart. Rustoleum is the brand I think. But I just picked a random one and tried it out. Nothing melted or wore off.
Does paint got sticki once it dries? I tried paited one and it all got sticky
