For me Jungkook changed the most. Mostly because we literally watched him go from barely a teenager to a man. We saw as he grew into all of his features and him growing in height too. But I don't think it was a "glow up" he just went from a sweet innocent looking kid to a handsome man.

@Different Pound Yeah that's not true at all... you've been watching too many "dark side of Kpop" videos... Many other idols have probably gotten plastic surgery but them being forced to as a part of their training is total BS, Plastic surgery is just more accepted in Korea than it is other places. BTS specifically haven't gotten anything cosmetic done on them (I say this because RM got PS on his nose because he had trouble breathing and sleeping).

Anyway, whether or not they have or have not isn't any of our business but in most idols pre-debut vs now pictures you can tell if they've had serious work done. It does seem you have a slight bias or bad outlook on PS, it really isn't a bad thing and it's nothing to shame others for.

There are a lot of fake old photos of the boys or their families like Jin's mom photo, which he confirmed to be fake. so please be careful, don't believe everything you see on the internet and don't spread misinformation. I've seen many armys posting pictures of random people on weverse saying "oh this is Jungkook's cousin" or "this is Jimin's mom". These photos are probably taken from some old "article" based on some rumors and I don't understand why people still believe in this and repost this shit.
Not to mention even if it were photos of their relatives it's super disrespectful posting it online because they're not public figures. Boys sometimes mention their families or show us some photos but they're still very private and we should respect that.

@@ipurpleu1668 How do you know? I'm not trying to be argumentative, but that photo is taken by multiple angles (I found 3 of the same photo in different angles and poses). Usually photoshops are done to one photo and circulated. This appears to be a real photo.
Either it's a photoshopped photo of Namjoon (photoshopped applied to 3 photos...which is odd, and unlikely), or it's a real photo of a person who is not Namjoon. More likely, but still no one has told me why they don't think it's not him.

i think people tend to forget that bts are really young and so in the beginning of their career they really were just teens who had baby fat and did not grow into their features yet
idk but i think tae changed a lot because he looked much more innocent-looking as a teen (obviously but yk what i mean) compared to the other members. and i think it's the fact that he used to always make these cutesy facial expressions and hadn't fully grown into his features or something. there's a pretty drastic difference in his past appearance to his present one. yes ik i'm horrible at explaining.

I feel like when you were talking about Jungkook, you were trying to say that you, and any entertainer, owe us, the audience, nothing aside from your best effort at entertaining and performing. And I agree- expectation of anything else is unfair, on a basic level, and reduces your humanity. These unreasonable expectations are an unfair burden on anyone in the public eye and leads to a lot of the problems within the industry. I never heard that saying "I'm not ugly, I'm just broke" until now. It is so relatable and makes perfect sense. If you take the average person and help them with eating right and exercising and also the right beauty products the transformations is astounding. If you are confident and comfortable in your own skin it also makes a difference in how you carry yourself. I someday wish to be that confident.

If u want to get a closer look into jimin’s journey, a good video that i haven’t seen anyone react to is “jimin’s journey in self love”. this video is really interesting to see how jimin changed throughout the years.
Jimin went through extreme dieting in the early years to lose weight even though he was already slim with a dancer's body. His diet was so extreme that he would sometimes faint in the dance practice studio. In reality, he just still had a baby face.

Jimin has had the biggest glow up for me because It wasn’t just a looks thing, he has been on a major journey of self. The interview he did where he spoke to his younger self moved me so much, bruh he starts crying while telling his older self that he’s going to grow up and learn so many things about himself so “please hurry up and be me, okay?” 😭😭 I’m so proud of him.
The pre-debut pictures were taken from when they were very young, around 12-15, that's why they look very different haha. Jimin even after he debuted, was very chubby and cute. The years where he really changed was 2015 during the era and 2016 during the era. He started pretty extreme dieting and lost all his baby fat

How do you make your face lose weight? It’s called baby fat. Some of us have it some of us don’t. Some of us lose it as we get older while others don’t. Jimin has not lost his and without makeup you can see he still has cute and puffy mochi cheeks. It’s makeup and lighting and dieting right before appearances that make them look snatched to the gods.

Jk cuz he was 15 during debut so 15 to 24 is when you grow the most rm cuz his pictures in this video were from 2010 to now so same reason lol. They were all such babies as trainees, it’s obvious that people will change physically in an 8 year period, especially if they start off as young teens…They have all been on rather extreme diets at times, I remember Jin talking about eating chicken for a year because he was told he had gained weight…Jimin was muscular and fit from before debut because of his dancing and martial arts, but he had a soft, sweet face with chubby cheeks (like many kids in their mid teens); before BST premiered he decided he wanted to improve his appearance so he dieted, he said that he ate one meal a day for 10 days but passed out at dance practice so he stopped - you can see during BST era that he is really slender and a lot of his muscle has gone, although he is still defined (his muscles were never “big”, but he was always very defined, I think he usually maintains quite a low body fat %). Yoongi looks like a scammer - you made me spit out my tea!! He got scammed a lot when he was a teen - he would sell songs but never get paid - but he is a strong and wise man. Jin has not changed at all, except for his style. Hobi also has not changed, except for his style. joon still has the same face, but what a difference a hairstyle can make!! Jungkook has probably changed the most, but he was only 13 when he auditioned, and he is now 24 - I think it’s to be expected. Tae was always beautiful, but he has grown into his face now, and he owns it. I think they all benefitted from good stylists, hairstylists, make up artists, and years of training and performing - they are grown, confidant men now, and it shows.

Personally, I believe all of them have changed dramatically over the years. I have been a fan for almost 6 years now and the bts that exists now is entirely different from the bts back then in a lot of ways.They all obviously grew up and matured hence the physical changes since all of them except jin were actual children when they debuted. However, personality wise, they have all matured immensely and I think self-confidence is one of the biggest aspects of that growth. I think their extensive experience in the industry has truly showed them that they cannot be anything other than who they truly are unless they want to burn out. The idol industry can be so damaging to these young children who give up everything and submit to the wishes of corporate owners and “fans” just to have a chance at succeeding in an extremely oversaturated industry. So having had to go trough all of that, and even more because of the success levels bts has reached over the years has taught them to let go and find comfort in who they are, and what they want to do. They understand now that they cannot please everybody, and that if them being themselves does not please “fans”, then they are better off without them. They do what they want now, and that includes what they eat, what they wear, if they get tattoos, if they get piercings, which artists they collaborate with, if they go to tv shows or not, what hair style/colour they do, etc. (Yes, people have been on their asses for ALL of these things in the past and even now, what with close-minded people always having something to say about jks tattoos and piercings smh) So the idgaf attitude in regards to expressing themselves while staying true to their passion for music and respectful, is something that has been a very gradual yet apparent development in all of them for me.
