- Oleg Orlov, Co-chair of Peace Prize winning organisation Memorial speaking at the Nobel Peace Conference: Woman - Life - Freedom. After being imprisonated since February 2024, Oleg Orlov was released from prison on 1 August 2024.
The conference highlighted the dangerous rollbacks of women’s rights across the world and discussed best practices to counter them, in the presence of 250 guests and tens of thousands of online participants from around the world
Among the speakers were four Nobel Peace Prize laureates and the children of last year’s laureate, Narges Mohammadi, currently imprisoned in Iran for her combat for women’s and human rights.
