Man remedy is on another level ..... The world building the attention to every detail the out of this world connections through multiple games . something like this occurred also 7 years before Alan Wake 2 in the intro of Quantum Break where you stumble a TV outside the Univercity where the Pilot Trailer and story of Alan Wake 2 was on with almost the exact events. also when you entered the lecture room inside the University there is a giant blackboard with notes with the entire chronology of the journey of Alan Wake even the ending of Alan Wake 2 and multiple realizations of some players in the story. gratifies with AWE (control) end many many more Easter eggs. this is actually crazy 7 years before today. Playing Quantum Break Post Alan Wake 2 is actually a MindFuck even tho is not a canon in the Remedy Connected Universe this is quite impressive.
AWE was originally Alan Wake Event, until in Control it was officially used for Altered World Event. The way they connect all their games is impressive. Quantum Break is in the same Universe but Remedy cannot say so as MS owns the IP. Martin Hatch is Mr. Door. Also Tim(e) Breaker (using the same actor from QB too) is a nice reference.
My working theory is that QB takes place within a bubble universe, that split itself off from the main Remedy timeline due to the events of Quantum Break and the End of Time. Jack receives a vision just after defeating Paul and fixing the Fracture where he sees himself arriving at the EoT, which is to say that in fixing the Fracture, he shifted the timeline to a point where the EoT would still happen, just later, and now Jack is going to get to experience it for himself. He also begins experiencing symptoms of Chronon Syndrome, just like Paul did, which means he's very likely on his way to being as powerful a Shifter as Martin Hatch was. We don't know what happens from there, but my guess is he finds a way to shift into parallel timelines at the behest of Martin Hatch. Either to find parallel realities that would allow him more time to find a permanent fix for the EoT, or simply to escape the timeline he's in if it's doomed to always arrive at the End of Time. And when shifting between realities, Joyce inhabits the version of himself in that universe, which is why he's Tim Breaker now. He shifted into the RCU canon timeline and forgot who he was, where he came from, or why he left.

This voice over isn't in Alan Wake 2. For the remaster they replaced all the QR code links from the original with Control hot line style videos, one of which was this voice over. The remaster came out like 2 years ago.

Yup, a lot of information that we're given in AW2 was laid out plainly within Control, we just didn't know where it was going to go exactly.
