The Jogeshwari - Vikhroli Link Road, commonly referred to by the abbreviation JVLR, is a 10.6-kilometre-long (6.6 mi) road in Mumbai that links Jogeshwari in the Western Suburbs to Vikhroli in the Eastern Suburbs. The JVLR is an important arterial road connecting the Western Express Highway and Eastern Express Highway. It was opened to traffic in 1994. At the time, it provided the only direct east-west link between these Express Highways. Prior to 1994, the link road was available for traffic only in segments.
As a part of the MUTP Road Transport Component programme, the previously 2-lane JVLR was widened to a 6-lane road with a central median. The project was completed in February 2012 at a cost of ₹221.45 crore.

@@mangeshchalan8786 gurgaon is just small, mumbai and its suburbs are larger, the entire maharashtra state will have economy of 1 trillion economy in 2027 i.e thats equal to 1/10 of USA economy equal to new york city economy , delhi cannot compete with maharasthra , karnataka probably almost 0.6 trillion, its mostly bcz energy resources, water, access to ocean, technology and other forging industries are based there, along with farming industries. Delhi wont grow beyond its current state at that rate.
India needs to modernize their roads with lanes and lights. The lack of lanes blows my mind. In America they made lanes within years of people driving cars in the early 1900's. India is over a hundred years behind with driving safety.

the area in this video happens to be a very suburban area.. agree these particular streets need overhauling.. but you see as soon as they get on the highway they do have lanes..

Well Mumbai was deliberately kept undeveloped for many years thats the reason cities like Hyderabad,Pune,Bangalore,Ahmedabad developed.

Traffic always in mess, proper system needs, lanes, with arrow marks, left, right, straight etc. Police had to be very strict.
