Very informative video Doctor. I’m dealing with four months post TKR and past month cannot put weight on the knee. I cannot cope and will be calling my surgeon tomorrow. I’m pretty sure I’ll be back into surgery.

I had my TKR done in Feb. 2023. Healing and PT went normally, but the knee continues to be stiff, swollen, and painful in the inner knee area. The doctor prescribed more PT which only aggravated the situation and made my left knee
pain go off the charts. When I saw the doctor in late August he said perhaps a brace, then removal of the plastic disc, and then a knee revision. I had enough pain and aggravation with the initial surgery, so I'm leery of more surgery. Then, when I was at PT for the second go-round, I met people who were on their third revision surgery on the same knee. Something is definitely wrong here----TKR surgery is supposed to be 95% successful. From talking to people, going online and reading people's stories, I've learned that the success rate is actually about 75%. I am beginning to wonder about this whole TKR "business"----never heard of it years ago, but now "revision" is all the rage. Are doctors and their PAs screwing up the surgery? Is it the actual hardware? Who knows. All I can tell you is that I'm not letting anyone touch my left knee; I'll get a mobility scooter before I consider ever having surgery on that knee and ending up with a "bum knee" like I have now. I wish you the best. Yes, I can walk on the knee, but not for very long, and I still need a walker to get around. The cane does nothing, and I lose my balance and fall.
