The secret to PvP is to be aware of what your opponent can do to beat you, with that you are able to know what to do when he does something. Bows focus mainly on kiting and is one of the best kiting weapons there is when used properly. The only thing you have to remember is to maintain spacing and never over commit at the wrong time. Keep practicing and you will get the hang of it.
You are right, in a long fight you will eventually run out of mana with plate head and boots so you should at least wear a cape to compensate that. In most cases, the fight is already over when that happens unless you are against a healer. The only time I switch to Energetic passive is when I use Q3 (poisoned arrow) usually with Badon.
"That's right, I saw you losing to that 4.1 the other day"
You have inspired me to try out pvp as a new player, any tips for using the bow ?

Do you ever have mana problems with any of the bows? Sometimes I feel like I need cloth sandals or at least the mana passive. Especially for longbow.
