  • Hi music producers and sound engineers!
    In this video, I will show you how to create an incredibly exciting BigROOM bass sound in Serum, the iconic bass sound that's used in some of the biggest EDM hits.
    By the end of the video, you will learn how to mix the kick and combine it with the bass sound We created to make a massive, floor-shaking kick and bass line for EDM music such as house, trance, electro, and more.
    also In this section, you can see how I adjust the duration of the kick and how I sidechain the bass to prevent frequency interference with the kick.
    Unleash the power of Serum synth and your mind will be blown.
    This type of kick and bass is trending in EDM music and is the signature of many producers such as Hardwell, DJ Snake, etc. The reason is clear: when you hear this sound, clubs and speakers are set on fire, and listeners' brains explode with excitement.
    This tutorial is comprehensive, step-by-step, and uncensored. By following the steps I take precisely, you can achieve similar results and use this incredible sound in your beautiful music. You can even reach the top of the music industry and release your music officially.
    At the end of the video, I have included a demo song that I created with the same sound. You can listen to it, so please stay tuned until the end of the video.

    Very helpful as usually. But what sort of salt or pepper did you add to the final result, its sounds more vibrant

      Thank you so much for watching the video and for your kind comment! I'm glad you found it helpful.
      For the final result, I used a few key plugins on the master channel to enhance the overall sound. Specifically, I added an imager from Ozone to mono the frequencies below 100 Hz, which helps in tightening the low end. I also applied a bit of EQ using FabFilter Pro-Q3 to balance the frequencies and a limiter (FabFilter Pro-L) to control the dynamics and add some loudness. These subtle adjustments really helped in making the track sound more vibrant and polished.
      Thanks again for your support and for taking the time to leave feedback!

    You didn't set the Rand to 0? Wouldn't that cause phase issues with your bass if it's constantly playing at different start points in the wavetable?

    • @hrmehrfar
      @hrmehrfar  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct, it's ideal to set the Random Phase (Rand) to 0 to avoid phase issues with the bass if it's constantly playing at different start points in the wavetable. However, there's a catch: even if we set the Random Phase to 0 and solve the phase issues with the kick for a specific note, the problem can reoccur when we change the bass note.
      So, what you mentioned is absolutely correct and should be followed, but it doesn't completely resolve phase issues. Thanks for your attention, mate!

    why would you bother setting the hold to anything if the sustain is 100%????

      Thanks for your comment! I appreciate your attention to detail. To clarify, could you please let me know which part of the video you’re referring to? I want to make sure I understand your question correctly so I can provide a proper explanation. Your feedback helps me improve my tutorials, so thank you for bringing this up!

      @@hrmehrfar your amp env. your sustain is at 100% so neither the hold or decay part of the ADSR would have any impact

      @hrmehrfar  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@cballer789 These settings can vary depending on the type of sound you want. In this case, the goal was to keep the bass sound at a consistent level from the moment it's played until the note ends, without any decrease in volume. I've also set the release to be slightly more than 0 to avoid any click noise at the end of the sound.
