I've bought an item from a luxury outlet that i've already owned in the past, and purchased at a regular retail store. I''ve spotted many differences in the quality. The same thing occurs every time I spot something I already own at an outlet. The accessories are not as sturdy, the leather is not as soft. The quality is never the same. Meanwhile, the prices are not exactly low either.
This lead me to the conclusion that brands produce a separate line for their outlet stores. This was finally confirmed here: th-cam.com/video/f8cyvpJYZlk/w-d-xo.html . Worth watching!

Well, that's exactly why it's at an outlet. It's meant to offload product that has minor and even major defects. And also, previous seasons items. Just remember, there's a reason why most designers will never ever have a "Sale" section in their boutiques.
Melany Chrisikos, you know that it all depends on the brand of the store.
Mostly lower to mid ranged brands sell the lower quality "Fake" merchandise/clothing.
Most of the higher end luxury brand stores are the ones that sell the REAL/Authentic merchandise and clothing.
For example at 13:38 she says in this video that she wants to go to Dolce and Gabbana to see what Season they have for the dresses. She knows the clothes for that brand. Clothes for D&G come into the outlet 6 or 7 months after arriving at the regular retail boutiques. They go on additional sale(close to 75% off retail) at the outlets 6 months later.
At 14:20 she also is talking about certain seasonal collections in shoes from Gucci which are in the Gucci outlet.
You and your mom are so fun! Even though I can't afford most of those things, I still enjoy the vlog so much and am happy for you that you're enjoying yourself!

Did u know that designers make stuff specifically for outlet? The quality is not the same. Thought I'd mention because lots of people are tricked into believing that they are the same as regular retail quality and discount prices.

I've also noticed that, when I went to outlets. I went into J. Crew and the quality was nowhere near the regular store. It was weird.
Baby Kay, Did you know that it all DEPENDS on which store has "stuff" made specifically for the outlet? In other words it depends on the store.
Some brands(mostly mid to low range) do indeed make Fake/lower quality merchandise for their outlet. And yes the quality is quite bad compared to the regular retail stores.
BUT.. many of higher end luxury Designer brands do indeed sell the exact SAME merchandise/clothings as their retail boutiques. The SAME clothing was in their retail boutiques 6 months earlier.

In regard to the person you saw in Prada, we have these people here in Saudi Arabia & we call them ( live shopping ). A Saudi girl or boy who study abroad, make some money by showing high-end pieces ( i.g. handbags, clothes, watches, sunglasses & even serveware) on their Instagram or Snapchat accounts. Then the well-off people chose what they want from those pieces & exchange messages with the account owner about the color of the bag or shoe size .....etc. Payment comes in this formula ( item price + financial benefit for account owner + transfer cost from the UK to Saudi Arabia. Actually, we have those high-end stores but with an extra money on it, we can have them cheaper from UK, France, Italy & Turkey.

i used to work at an mcarthur glen outlet in germany and you know which store made the most money? its lindt. they have a lindt outlet store and especially around christmas and easter people would wait for hours to enter the store. it was crazy

too true- don't make decisions based on fear of the future or you don't move forward. but good to recognise also if you are being limited by other people's vision for your future:) that is often a factor in why things stagnate stall or get sabotaged....and we often miss this because we are too close or too deep in the fog . Keep checking in with third party dynamics !!
