Not sure about the electricity demand curve provided, but more electricity is needed and used during winter (colder months) than Summer (hotter months) hence higher bills in winter.
Residences should have heat pumps and solar panels directly on their roofs. The energy costs are lower than natural gas and the wiring supply is directly on the house. You can't get closer than that. No natural gas pipelines or electrical transmission lines are required. Besides what energy is more local than the sun on your house?
@@yetivanmarshall1473 not sure where you live Yeti but we can use net metering. So we over produce in the summer and under produce in the winter but net out to zero energy consumption year round. In that scenario we don't need batteries.

Until there is 1 week of no sunlight. 99 percent of home owners don't have the room for the amount of batteries necessary to store it.

The promotion of gas over hydro is short-sighted and unsustainable.
Hydro is limited and unscalable so of course natural gas should be promoted.
Now if you guys could just figure out how to turn coal into hydrogen...zero emissions coal.
O wait someone is already doing that...
No reason to do that when you can produce hydrogen with nuclear reactors capture it and power the .03s with it
Natural gas is not renewable energy. Get your facts straight
They never said it is. Only green hydrogen is renewable.
