Hi Desiree, I love your videos! I am curious; on your different savings in your account if you have separate savings for each category or do you use one and keep track what $ is for what (like your Treat Yourself and Go Wild)? Jusr curious as i have just started cash stuffing and want to keep my in the bank categories separate once i have the cash built up, but without having multiple accounts! 😂 Thank you! ❤
I have two savings accounts right now. One is for taxes and the other one is for cash envelopes. So I keep all of the money that I have placeholders for in the same account. It has been very easy to manage it all together since I also keep track of it in my planner and I’m my envelopes 🤗
@Happy2planwithDesiree thank you, I really appreciate! 😀 I was thinking when I'm at that point of possibly using a check registry to keep track of all the categories in a savings account, but wondered if there was an easier way.
Desire, what kind of buffer do you keep in the bank for purchases like these? To where you have to use your card but didn't put the money in there first. And how do you determine how much your buffer is for the week?
I try to keep at least a couple hundred in the bank extra for these purposes. This is all figured out before I do my cash stuffings. I will also keep money in the bank for any bills that are coming out that week as well and also gas money since I don’t cash stuff that. I have a video explaining this! th-cam.com/video/j3mtHwzbP-k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-aKtBUAOQkqk_aM6

Ally Bank savings account has categories, I think. It’s like envelopes but in the bank.
