Amazing cover. Probably best version I've heard since the original. Love the role reversal of the vocals supporting the instrumentals rather than opposite where the instrumentals supported the vocals in the legendary original. Bravo. 👏
Vocals are a bitch to mix on a good day, let alone against an orchestral rendition with expansive coverage across all frequencies. Kill the mid/high freqs on the main rhythm instruments and double up the vox track for the chorus', panning each one 40/40 left right for some stereo width and the vocals will sit a lot better. this was a treat
I'm glad someone knows my frustration loll, but thanks for the advice! Good thing about tackling such a hard task is that the "normal" mixes I do for other people end up a lot more refined and easy to do
