Hi team! 💜 Hope you enjoyed having a look at Vogel's journal, and a big thanks to him for letting us flip through it 😄 It was great to see him enjoy using something I made (even if some months I didn't have it set up in a timely enough manner for him to get full use of it, haha) 😋 Just like me, he has some blank or unfilled pages in his notebook, but I loved that he let me make this for him and is also letting me set him one up for next year! (There was discussion of a pre-printed planner, but he's sticking with that bujo life 💪)
what i absolutely love about vogel's journal is the blend of geeky themes that look amazing, but the actual planning is minimal and functional. it's like the best of both worlds!
I found some of those fandom-based themes so hard 😂 don’t wanna stuff up drawing out a character and have them look derp, haha 💜 I’m thinking for 2023 he’s learning towards more general themes (eg under the sea, forests, etc.) but I’m yet to get a full list from him 😛
Thank you (and Vogel) for sharing this flip through! I love seeing how other people use their journals. I'm going to set one up for my partner and I know he will not use it the way I use a journal but hopefully it will be helpful when he needs it be helpful!
AGH all the unused space 😫 see I’m the type of crazy person that would go back through the journal and add a bunch of fake tasks and events just to fill in the blank boxes 😂 you did such a great job with the setup!!
Haha I like to think of them as memories 😛 like remembering me being slack setting them up in a timely fashion, or remembering when life got so hectic that things just didn’t get written down
I lay out my weeks with M-Th on one side and F-Su on the other, because I'm Jewish and I teach religious school on Sunday morning. I draw boxes, but I don't tick, I draw a line through. And I rewrite lists a lot when the cross throughs get overwhelming. I like most of the layouts from a fan perspective. Marvel, Pokémon, The Matrix, Mean Girls, Star Wars... If I had the patience for decorating, these are some themes I'd include using your designs as inspiration.
Even if it was by accident, the blue pen looks really good, especially with the monochromatic themes. Maybe Vogel would enjoy the vintage sarasa pens. Thanks to Vaughan for allowing Jess to show us the after-the-pen !
As I was watching this, it occurred to me that with Vogel's preferred format, you could pretty easily set things up in advance. It could even be all done before the start of the year if Vogel knew what themes he wanted. Is he interested in any end of year reflections or summary type things?
He did give me a full year of themes before we started, but even with the simple weekly formats, a lot of this took a really long time 😝 you can kind of see if from the livestreams we did in February with setting up his Pokémon theme 💜 at once point I did go in and draw all the weekly boxes for the rest of the year, but even those repeated lines took a decent amount of time, haha
For August you should go back and write two words on the blank pages, 'simplicity' 'functional' or something along those lines. It's great to see a good set up in action even when life is too busy for the decoration.
I was tempted just to go back and do some washi sticking (I have a red tape that matches the pen I used for the weeklies quite well) but I think the blankness is a good reminder that sometimes things just don’t get done 😝💜
Oh my goodness~ Those are cool designs! I love all of those movies xD And yeah, it's interesting to see how other people use their journals. I too use blue pen because that's what I'm used to. And because for a while I couldn't find packs of only black pens that I liked, always only blue or red, black, and blue.
I think Vogel and I would be okay friends because my May and June themes were the same aha. Is he a Dr. Who fan? I feel like that would be an interesting theme for you to try if he is.

you 100 percent rocked it tho!
I love Vogel’s journal and all the unique themes.

Thanks Bronwen! 💜 Agreed, it's nice to see how people use their journals even if it's not the same way as we use ours 😄💪
I'm with you on the weekly set up. I'd want Mon-Thurs across the top. And I also check things off at the front end.

i’m so glad i’m not the only one!!!

I’ll pass on your words of appreciation 😄💜 thanks!

My faves were September, November and December!
Those were some of Vogel’s favourites too! 😄💜

LOVE the May spread.
Thanks! 😄💜

It’s rare to see pictures of people using blue pens in their journals! Or at least in the spaces I’m in 😂 maybe I need to go hunting 👀
@@JashiiCorrin I adimt, the blue pen doesn't always look as... decorative as the black (black is good for everything xD), so I see why it is rare.
These themes are amazing!
Thanks! 😄💜
I'm a tic at the end person too 🤣
This video is one of my favorites! Thank you for sharing this awesome video!! 😍😍
Most welcome! 😄💜 Glad you liked it!
😁😁
Excellent journal
Thank-you! 😄🥰

Loveeee thiss soo much! ❤
Thanks! 😄💜
absolutely INCENSED that in March Thursday isn't represented by Thor, i.e. THORSday (not really but it made me laugh)
Haha that would have been a good idea 😄💜
Hello from British Columbia Canada
🇨🇦🖐👍♥️🛣🚐🚐🐏🌨☃️💤❄🏂⛄✍📚
Hi Marguerite! 😄💜
@@JashiiCorrin I would set the days like you MTWR- across the top,
FSS notes across the bottom using two pages as one spread...
How dare he give Black Widow a 1?!?!???!?! 😤
I mean…it’s lower than I probably would have, but I can understand the reasoning 😝
that "some language" it means bird in is german 😂
And Dutch! I meant “some languages” but forgot my S so it came out weird, haha 😂
@@JashiiCorrin That makes more sense 😂
Aliens is the besssst! Go Vogel! 🤘🏽😂
Haha I will pass on your appreciation for the theme choice 💜🤙
