Just so you know it's Dr pepper and like an ounce or 2 of cream or usually like a heavy cream or 50/50 mixing cream like at Sonic we would use unfrozen vanilla shake mix for even better results and the drink is called well an "org*sm"
Just for the sake of pip's lower expectations, you'll be relived to hear that pcrime rates are down pretty much everywhere in america compared to 10 or 20 years ago, and that trend has been broadly consistent since the we started keeping records. the only thing that's really up currently is gun murders, but that's mostly localized to states with less restrictive gun laws. so it's probably fair to conclude that it's not that the human desire to murder is more common, but that immediate access to an effectively deadly weapon is more common. i mean, if you gave everyone in an area tons of poison infused spiked clubs, you'd see a sudden increase in poison infused spiked club murders. just how it works. humanity doesn't really just change it's nature in sudden dramatic ways. it's our circumstances and outlook that change. we pump tons of money into anti-crime, so of course we're better at it than we were decades ago.
when people say crime is up, they're usually talking about stats on pandemic time (or specific case statistics). it's just spin. it's not actually reflective of the information we have. our streets are far safer for children and old folks than they were in the fifties, for all the obvious reasons. when i was a kid, a grown man talking to a child wasn't a suspicious thing unless he "looked" suspicious. and you can see this reflected in media from the time. where crime has genuinely increased is in the public dialog. we talk about it all the time. that's part of why we're way better at preventing and resolving crime than we've ever been in all of human history. the tools and the training are better, so of course the rates are better. our societal weaknesses to crime are primarily cultural, which means they require the culture to change, not the people. but if anything, we've become a more empathetic and understanding society, because we see so much more of what happens to other people. information spreads much more quickly, allowing us to invest in the pain of strangers in real time, rather than through the softening lens of passed time.
well...i mean....at least in people under a certain age. you know there's a literal theory that proses that boomers lack empathy compared to younger generations because of lead paint chips? i shit you not. no idea how confirmed or debunked it is, but it exists. which means other people have noticed. it's not just us lol
