I went to a small town citywide sale a couple years ago. Most of the sales didn’t have signs or anything and it started raining. I saw people and folding tables set up in a garage and both garage doors were open. I ran inside to escape the rain only to find myself the uninvited guest at a child’s birthday party.
My grandma was 97 when she passed. She would take those square scarves, fold them into a triangle, tie them on her head, and call them a head rag. She didn't go anywhere without her head rag.
biggest problem is someone putting out crazy prices others unable to think for themselves or do any real research assume thats the value n the market goes to shit like video games n lego
If you buy something on ebay you have to pay tax plus possible shipping. If somebody comes along that actually wanted the items they'd still be saving money. Yard sales aren't just for re-sellers.
I agree. Yard sales are lot less trouble but eBay is quoted as the blue book. eBay is twice the risk for a seller, especially in this very selective marketplace. The two don’t really compare. This outlook boggles my mind as well.
Haha. eBay started off as a place to find cheap stuff, it was good because you had a lot bigger selection than just looking in your area. Now people act like it’s an FN high end retail store. It’s simply a place to find more of a variety. $6 for a shirt is a steal someone would have to spend $25 on eBay for. Everyone has different reasons for selling or getting rid of stuff. I hate so many people make others feel they have to give their stuff away unless they want to make a business out of it.
My brother and sister inlaw went to a garage sale one day and started picking around. Funny thing was it wasn’t a sale the guy was just cleaning out his garage.
I live in a smallish city. There’s a older gentleman that has a garage sale just about every weekend. He won’t haggle at all, the sticker price is the price no matter what. We had a sale a little while back. Guess who shows up and tries to get everything for less than half sticker price?😂. I’ve heard he’s the OG reseller around town and been doing it since before the internet.
Hi Kevin 💕👍. My husband and I had garage sales in the80s no one then brought bags to put stuff in like you do, is it something new?🤷♀️. Still wish my teachers were like you 💯💯💕💕🤭🤗
I’ve been to a sale where prices were marked on everything. Just to note, it was a community sale where a bunch of houses were involved. I told him I wanted a few things, he got visibly upset, and then yelled at me to get off his property with a few choice words. One of my more weird encounters. I’ll never forget to wear my GoPro again.
I am so thankful that you said something about Kevin and the shoes because I've been wanting to do it and it disturbs me greatly when he says about something oh I don't want to clean it I wish he would stop saying that too
There is an estate sell a few blocks from where I live this weekend, little old lady lost her husband and was selling her thing’s because she was moving to Florida, she had a ton of granny squares, you would’ve passed out, she was quite reasonable with her prices as well. 👍🏼
We had those Tupperware S&P shakers in the picnic basket. Used 'em too. Scarves: I'm no expert, but Iook for hand-sewn edges and no holes. Real silk tends to be older, but a lot of Kevin's look like legit vintage. I found one sale on Friday morning with not much for resale, and one Saturday morning...spent 50 cents at that one. (It was a rerun with a lot of surplus/overstock bletch...yeearrgh.) At least somebody is finding something!
When you’re checking comps and see free shipping, is it possible that there is a handling fee that we can’t see in the sell thru price? I’ve seen $20.00+ handling fees on more things lately, which throws off that comp.
Hi Kevin, I only watch this channel (time) and you havnt talked really about that site you are auctioning on, well unless i missed it. Im interested maybe you can give some extra deets in another vid.....Repetition is good anyway for selling and some of us need to hear things a couple times to absorb after 40.. HA! Great Channel and my best to your fab fam! -Lisa/Massachusetts
I recently came across something similar at a sale I went to with the people all of a sudden not wanting to sell the item they had set out. I personally believe they see my camera and don't want to sell it to a reseller. Do you ever feel this way?
Kevin you made a comment about you don't have your booth anymore I didn't know you had done away with it I guess I'm way behind times sorry to hear that God bless you as always
I went to a house one day that had 100 cars in yard so well I said it’s and estate sell I went and knocked on door and said is the estate sale open the lady says I’m sorry my papa died I felt like a fool and said I’m so sorry and ran

Going to garage sales is a grind, high prices or very little to find. What makes it fun is the treasure hunting. Keep up the great videos!
That was Olympic caliber deflection on the video question at the first sale
LOVE watching ALL of your videos!! Keep up the great work!! And your little store is adorable! As is your family (including pets)!

Some days is a struggle to buy items. Wow on some prices! And the old guy..sigh he's gonna have alot of stuff to take home! Lol.
Its a show and tell when prices are stupid high.
Old girl must have thought you couldn’t count 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
She darn near pushed him out of the way.
People dont want to bother selling on eBay but they want eBay prices. Never considering costs involved. Boggles the mind.

I’m sure it took that old guy a long time to set up his sale, and with his prices,,,, he’s going to be carrying it all back in.

My husband and sons did this one time too! Will forever be a funny memory!
Had a version of this happen it was a group of people doing a woodworking session but they took all the stuff out of the garage so everyone could fit
I sure would've loved to have been at that garage sale!! (The one with the xmas ornaments and scarves)!

That’s how the 100 mile Route 21 sale was. Only spent 35 dollars and it took 7 hours. Spent more on lunch
I just had the same experience at the 127.
I know you have shipping videos, but I'd love to see how you ship an odd-sized item like the VHS shelf.
