I love carbon fiber. I'm just a regular guy making cf parts for my car at home, mainly using wet layups and vacuum bagging. I'd love to work for a team like MCL, and using processes that are more cost prohibitive for the home like infusion and prepreg etc cf and other composites are cool.

Thats cool, but I honestly need to say, it would still make more sense (yes, this isn't on the teams or McLaren in any way, but on the FIA/F1 itself) to find a better route in the race calendar, since you go from Japan to Qatar and now to the US, although you already were in the Middle East before hand and in the US as well. 10 Teams + Staff + Fans + Catering and everything else in dozens of airplanes definitely emit more C02 than carbon fibre.
Nevertheless it is a step into the right direction, although I believe that F1 will never be ecological in any way, though that shouldn't diminish the efforts for a more ecological F1.

What a waste of money to recycle one of the most common elements in the universe. This isn't about recycling, it's virtue signalling.
