Jeremy Allen White, the actor who plays Carmy, went to cooking school for two weeks and worked in the kitchen of multiple restaurants, among them the Michelin star-rated Pasjoli, to train for the show. No hand doubles were used in the making of the show. The actors did all of the chopping and prep themselves.
I'm locked in to these reactions to see y'all drooling over the food every week haha. Here we go! Actress that plays Sugar is a SNL alumni, maybe that's where Dani knows her from? And yes Morgan, this show is going to make you hungry. 😋
Not a spoiler, just clearing up a common misconception (I've seen it latched onto multiple times) but that story about twins was just a random unrelated story. It wasn't in relation to Carmen. Looking forward to seeing more of your reactions to this wonderful show! Quite the journey ahead! Season 3 also starts next month.
2 seasons out and a 3rd season coming out next month with a 4th season greenlit. And this show won all the awards. It, Beef, and Succession pretty much swept awards season for tv this year.
As someone who worked in the food service and delivery industry for the past 10 years I can absolutely confirm that kitchens get THIS chaotic almost all the time.
Absolutely love this show! You're in for a whole lot of charackter developments through out this show. AND some tears here and there... And no the brother was not his twin, it was his older brother.
The Bear is an amazing show, and just gets better and better. Also, might checkout a film the Jeremy Allen White was in last year called The Iron Claw. One of the best films from last year. Zac Efron got robbed of an Oscar nomination for Best Actor last year for Jeremy Allan White amazing in it as well. Fair warning: make sure you have a box of tissues because the box will be empty by the end.
The Bear is the best show out right now. It shows the maladaptive actions of traumatized people in a hopeful search for healing. Wait till you get to the second season. Episodes "Forks" and "Fishes" are two of the best episodes of any television show ever. Makes sense when you have Jamie Lee Curtis, Sarah Paulson, Bob Odenkirk, Oliver Platt, and Jon Bernthal guest star in Fishes and Ebon Moss-Bachrach coming to Jesus moment with an amazingly touching scene with Olivia Colman in Forks.
This series is fantastic, acting, story, cinematography just amazing. Another amazing one I hope you pick up to react to is "Shogun" as well. The latest "Shogun" series is a piece of art. Anna Sawai is absolutely brilliant in it.
For whatever reason, Im not watching any anime, but I love the bear, and happy to see you guys following a show I’ve seen. This show is soooo gooooood! Only advice is, pay attention! There’s some subtle hints. But really, just being along for the ride is really rewarding
How do y'all not have these ladies watching snowfall, power, or alice in borderland yet 🤦♂️... Especially alice in borderland since its actually on the list
