Wow another SST. Woah that scratched paint by the top is bad, must be a pretty nasty hit. Wonder how long this yard will hold onto them, cause these things just don't seem to last cause the drivers eventually tire of driving these.
Oh yeah the arm is leaning alot you can see in the first clip, not sure why. We have 2 they are daily runners cus elk grove only can have CNG trucks run. only like 4 drivers are trained and they don't really like it it grips the carts too hard we found like 4 carts will cardboard still in them.
@@GarbageTrucksofCalifornia for a new truck that is pretty bad to have the arm lean like that, not a good look for a Heil at all. Can't imagine once these things age how much worse problems like that will get, I heard they took these off the Heil site so maybe they are now discontinued. Our SST had several problems with the PTO, the Halo mode, and the Heil arm constantly loosing pressure, driver got so tired cause he had to get off all the time to picked up knocked over carts and spills cause this truck spills a lot, at least the one we had. Hoping these drivers can move onto something better soon.
@@GarbageTrucksofCalifornia That’s because the arm is not mounted on the chassis, it’s mounted to the body. If the arm becomes loose from any sort of bolts, that arm is going to lean somewhere. Maybe if the arm was mounted to the chassis this problem would not exist. But then again, republic is not top notch when it comes to maintaining their fleets unless the contract is a big money contract then they upkeep their trucks really good.

@@FresnoRefuseTrucks For sure. they sent this truck to peterbilt cus it was recalled. They only fix major issues anything minor they don't do.
