How did I just now realize Black is so busted just because it gets the most bodies, ko’s, and power off of 1 combo of any color with the Moria into Rebecca onto Spandine into Lucci. I always thought it was problematic, but idk if any other color gets the ko’s and the bodies off of 8 don like black does. Blue has its field swarm, but it doesn’t ko as it does it 😭
I wonder why the Blackbeard player took so many life early on 3 5k attacks. I usually try to counter those low attacks that only cost 1 card, is that a bad strategy?

BB played this game very weird - obviously they made top2 for a reason, but after spending hours analyzing this game, nearly every turn was a misplay of some sort except playing burgess on 4 lol
Truthfully I’m not full knowledgeable on the matchup to know that deep, but there’s gotta be some reasonings he got through testing that explains his moves
@@atrocioustcg Yeah I don't presume incompetence in the top2, there are a ton of different explanations to why he did what he did, can be just playing around weird things, to being tired and having a temporary lapse of judgment - I respect the hell out of all these players, and hindsight 20/20, but acknowledging those were in fact misplays helps people learn in the long term
@richardshiflett5181 Ofcourse I can, analysing plays and finding better alternatives is how you become a better player. instead of blindly defending mistakes think a bit - even pro players can make mistakes - they don't suddenly become bad players from that, but literally nobody is infallible.

I think he was trying to build his hand to eventually spam leader effect & nullify stuff like Gecko Moria
