Is anybody aware that in the Off-Broadway production, the Heathers had extra vocal support from the female ensemble? These three girls did it by themselves, and I think that deserves some credit.
I like the original musicals version of this better. But I do like how they interact with Veronica more during the song. Cause in the original she just kind of stood there while she sang and it was weird.
I know a lot of people are criticising this production, but just remember it didn't actually start out as a professional production. It was an amateur cast that were the first people to get the rights to perform it in Australia, the tickets sold out ridiculously quickly and everyone loved it so much they were able to take it to the opera house. And also as always everything is better live- I saw it in Sydney and honestly, there were plenty of things I liked better about the Australian Production.
McNamara and Duke's costumes are fine; I don't think Veronica's or Chandler's looks good. :/ That grey jacket is hideous. I don't think the singing was terrible but it could have been better, and choreo was meh.
listen these girls are honestly amazing i have met them all and although it is different to the off Broadway production in the US they still all of the character development and voice that you need. just because you don't like the makeup or the choreo or the costumes has nothing to do with the actors or their performance.
Call me an elitist but their voices don't fit? It just doesn't have the same bitchy feel to it. The costumes feel like an exaggeration of the real thing. I'm not saying they have bad voices or look ugly, it just doesn't feel right. But hey, I haven't seen this version live so I can't know for sure.
those shoulder pads are making Heather Chandler look like the Trunchbull from Matilda the Musical to be honest 😂

Personally I don't think Chandler is strong enough vocally. Personally I preferred Charissa and Jessica..

The outfits are too bulky even for the 80s, is this Working Girl or is this Heathers
and the makeup is obviously for the stage with the lights... from far away they looked STUNNING
The thing is Heathers was never a "Broadway Hit" because it never went to broadway

Am I honestly the only person who prefers this choreography and actually finds it nice that the costumes are movie accurate??
