Hello Sir, I have one doubt. You mentioned that the proxy is "without SSL offloading". SSL offloading is the process of removing the SSL based encryption from incoming traffic that a web server receives to relieve it from decryption of data and the same thing is happening in the proxy case as well. So shouldn't proxy mean SSL offloading?

even I have same doubt ...a/c to proxy lb it should be ssl offloading then only it send decrypted (http) request to webservers

let me put in this way, SSL offloading is without encryption and decryption, but here proxy that explained by sir doing such activity of encryption and decryption. So we are opposing SSL offloading that is why he is telling without SSL offloading.. I hope this is clear, if any mistake from side please correct me, thank u

Sir, as per my understanding we have to offload SSL certificate on LB in Proxy mode so that it can encrypt or decrypt traffic using that SSL Certificate. However in Passthrough mode LB don't require SSL to be offloaded on LB and it will pass the encrypted traffic directly to the backend servers and servers do the encryption/decryption of the triffic. Please correct my understanding. Thank you Sir.
