My bills in Canada can make me live in Africa like a King and that’s why I am moving back to Africa

  • Joseph spends over 5000 dollars in bills alone in Canada, and he says all they do in the diaspora is survive. Something many people don’t admit. Life in the diaspora can be challenging.
We caught up with him at Wambugu Apples and when he said he had traveled all the way from Canada to the Kenyan village to understand the art of Apple farming, it blew my mind simply because the majority of the people will visit Kenya for the Tourist side.
Here is his exclusive episode on why he is finally willing to leave Canada for Africa and go full board on farming

Africa is not only the backbone of the world, but Africa is the continent of the future. This is the reason many wealthy people have left their countries to come settle in Africa. The reason why everyone is scrambling for a piece of Africa. Come back to my comment in 10 years to affirm this statement ❤

Bills you have to pay whether in Canada or Africa. There is no such thing as a free passage in Life. You have to pay your way through life. You go to work or business and earn good money. Someone else provides you with security, good roads and a clean environment to do you activity. These things are not free and don't expect them for free. The people who do this have to be paid who in turn pay taxes and other bills and create employment and more opportunities for you. That is how a society functions. In case you didn't know, It is called an economy. Expecting to earn highly and not pay bills is not only unrealistic but infantile. Who do you expect provides you with Electricity, clean water, cooking gas, and heating? This things are not free.

You are right that bills are paid everywhere, sometimes the bills paid differs and not for every purpose. In the Western world you hardly get any assistance from your neighbors, whereas in Nigeria for instance you get multiple assistance from them and are free or peanuts. You are taxed from the moment you wake up till you go to sleep. The fact that many Africans are running to the West for better life has been the failure of the government, not uplifting the living standards of the people, what I understand is that we have everything to make it in Africa and live a healthier life. We in the West understand this, but the government attitude has always been a draw back. What many of us fail to understand is that, the Europeans came to Africa under the power of their kings and Queens then, their expenditure were paid for or covered by their government. They organized a force for that. Ours has been an issue of individuality. Just imagine all the money we sent home goes to a special account and our people gets the home currency, how much will the government have from that. Nigerians alone sent more than $30b yearly.
Yes bills would be paid for work and taxes as well, our government unlike the West don't depends on taxes for survival, we were surviving without it before the white man came. It was the only means for them to survive as they lack all natural means of survival in Europe then. So they have to master that act. Corruption has driven the economy down and that itself is the main problem.
Those who have the courage to go back home and make it should be encouraged. Definitely we are working to survive in the West and can't afford to close our eyes and not worry about it.
Your point is clear and the advantages of life in Africa is far greater than the West.

👸 Queen Lynn, this is the kind of journalism I'm looking for as an African. Africans, our food security is in our hands 🙌 and make a little extra by exporting. In South Africa 🇿🇦 if we could have access to land the same way that our African brothers have, many would be farming, but our land is still in white ownership 😢. If Africa was bad, why are they not leaving, and going to the same Canada, UK, Australia etc, that we Africans rush too ?? What is they see that we Africans don't see?
    I'm proud of Joseph ❤😊
    Blessings from South Africa 🇿🇦

@@our10picks18 Ahhh, you totally misunderstood. I was commenting as someone who has been to the constitutional court for land. And Joseph was talking about our leaders, that where I was talking from. Lazy, I'm glad Lynn spoke about Nigerian stereo types, My dear, if only you knew me personally 😊, I think a person with a Phd, runs 5 km every 3 days, works full time, has traveled to how many countries I'v lost count, in clouding Joseph's country, is lazy. ❤ but I appreciate your reply, just don't be in rush to reply with emotion ❤.

I always say it since i came to Canada in 2020, anyway its my own opinion that abroad is not for getting rich but for survival. Maybe for me because I was living a life with less struggle in Uganda. To me Canada has been quite a struggle especially because I have to work 10× harder(I was living like a queen even with the little I had) I can't wait to get back to that queen life with less hard work. Knowing what I know now, I can be a millionaire in Uganda especially through farming. I have now learnt that grass is not always greener on the other side, I have appreciated my Uganda more. Can't wait to pack my bags to go build my empire in Uganda. Brother I'm with you on that, mine is not retiring per say but I'm going back home in 3year. Already in the process of setting things up

Wow.....The problem is the assimilation of English.
Just like I have been trying to tell our young people about the trend of letting our toddlers learn their own mother language at the tender age and allow them to have exposure to English once in school, but nobody sees the logic in it. Think about writing a composition or insha or even addressing a gathering, you don't think in English, but rather in your own mother language. Thank you bro. We should make this viral.

From Kano state of Nigeria, its true that Nigerians are resilient and aggressive in what ever they are doing to succeed, for the simple fact that they don't depend on government to succeed. Nigerians don't get government support like our brothers do, in other African countries.
In Nigeria, you have to depend on your self for everything, example education, health, water, just to mention a few. So this disconnection between government and it's citizens, make a Nigerian to be very aggressive and achiever in every thing he or she is out for.

What puts down progress in Africa is our leaders who are greedy and don’t care. When I was young I saw coffee , tea , pyrethrum farmers educate their children and have plenty for their families. Food security then was no issue . Water was in plenty , no electricity shut offs that was in the 79s and early 80s . I ask myself what happened to Kenya what happened that our country went backwards, I will never understand 😢

Agriculture is underrated but it's the backbone of many African countries' economic activities 💯

Opportunity is always under our feet. We don't need to go anywhere. All we need to do is recognize it. I urge every fellow young Kenyan and African to read the book ACRES OF DIAMONDS by Russell H. Conwell and understand and apply its teaching

I live in canada originally form east africa. I am a witness of what this man is saying interms of learning technical stuff or having a skill before you travel to Canada or US. But Bro, Christianity is not white man religion as a Nigerian you should know by now the real Ancient Bible Hebrew people are black people. Christianity suits African Black people to our personalities and culture.

After 5years I landed in JKIA and there's was a board written 'KENYAN CITIZEN QUEUE HERE' my heart smiled ...I felt am home .not an American immigrant that name sucks ......yeah agriculture is everything for the countries economy.if there's surplus of food for each and every citizen the economy will thrive in every corner.
