So much time and energy spent on politics and politicians AND very LITTLE time actually building the country. Just look at all the dilapidated roads and pan bodies. Respect to you Mike for taking the time to share this video.
Its nice to finally see Kabassa lodge, my late dad use to work with Siaka Stevens. He use to talk about going to Kabassa Lodge all the time. Why on earth Sierra Leoneans don't preserve our history? Look at the state of the place? What a shame. Thank you Mike

Thank you sir. You asked for ideas. I would like to make two suggestions: 1) Understandably the English language is a foreign language, maybe you should consider planning, making notes and cover areas you planned going through the notes. 2) Try to specialize. For example, If its Presidential residence then cover them. If its politicians residences, that can also be good. Because most politicians choose to go into politics when they have failed in everything else in life. So in these situations, "get rich quick" is the mantra..Literally most of our politicians fit that profile....They will steal to the maximum and build mansions aimlessly afterwards at the detriment of the rest of the population.....Hence the country remains poor and backward to the core! Your video underlines that.....Poverty is visible on Juba Hill despite the history of the area......
It’s called Kabaya not Kabba I grew up at Juba Hill right at Assine Rd or Pipeline when it was Juba Hill. I cannot believe what I saw. My late brother Lawyer AF Serry- Kamal was one of the few that discovered Juba Hill in the 70s. It’s was well known only for the rich. It’s sad to see it go down the drains with all those deplorable roads. It’s was a residential and conservative area. I had a good time and good life growing up at a nice and beautiful environment I pray for my brother everyday. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
@@mikek9085 I just watched Aberdeen few minutes ago. I now reside in Aberdeen off Cape Road Nylander drive when I visit and its nice and interesting community close to all entertainment centers. Good job for the update. I will let you ok thank you much.
BUT why if this is your affluent place, why is it so run-downed? I’m an American but recently found my heritage is the Mende tribe. I wanted to visit but I can’t put my life in jeopardy. Why has the country’s infrastructure improved after all these years? Other African countries and cities are very beauriful.
There are several beautiful places to explore in the country, the country is a virgin ground people just concentrated on few places, especially after the war. Give it a thought and visit, I promise to take you along the hidden path.
Sierra Leoneans need to hold their officials accountable. This is 2022 and for this country and city to look this way, it is totally unacceptable. You need to get rid of your leaders and vote some in who will work to better your country and the conditions of its residents.
