Hello Gro & Roger. I always wonder which ferry connection from Oslo is the best one. DFDS to Copenhagen or Color Line to Kiel in Germany. I only know Color Line. You don‘t have to do the boaring drive through Denmark if you travel down south but you will always get stuck in traffic on the motorway through Hamburg. The price is higher but you don‘t have to pay for the bridge. Are there any other things to keep in mind when you travel with a huge mozorhome on a ferry? Are there ferries where it is more comfortable for motorhomes in terms of space etc?
Hi. Our favorite is definitely Color Line to Kiel, but it's unfortunately very expensive to take with the motorhome. When it comes to having a motorhome on a ferry, they are all the same. But when it comes to passenger comfort, Color Line Magic and Fantasy are definitely the best. The reason for taking DFDS this time is that we got a really good price. But in general it is pretty much the same total cost from Oslo to Germany with both options. We usually shop around for a good price on the ferries, because the bridges have fixed prices.
